Guest guest
I definately agree the smaller the better. Since I have a lot of the 21g left I have been drawing with those and injecting with the 25g. I am going to experiment with drawing with the 25g next time. I did it once with a 25g but it was 1-1/2 " long and took forever to get the TC in. I am hoping the 1 " will be better. Re: Testosterone injection site soreness I go for the smaller needle. Guest guest
Rub the bottle of Testosterone between your hands. It warms it up making it flow easier and I dunno. It stirs up the contents which probably is not needed but why not? Relax the leg so its just laying there loose. If you tense up it WILL hurt for days. Also one trick that I've learned after doing this for a while. Take an ice cube and rub it around the injection site for a minute to numb it up a little. Then rub the Alcohol pad on the area. You may wish to let that dry before injecting as it burns a bit. Be sure you pull back on the plunger once its in to see of your in a vein! Not easily done btw but I've heard it happens. The ice and using a smaller gauge needle make the actual injection pain free. Oh! I use 23 gauge needles (1 inch is correct for leg injections) and try to avoid using the same location. I alternate Right, Left leg and try to mix up the actual injection site. If you start to inject and feel lots of pain BACK off. You maybe hit a nerve? I don't know. The first time that happened I " toughed it out " and wow what an error. I was limping... > > Hi folks, > > I've just recently started on TRT. Guest guest
I inject into the thigh. Do get some valid instructions on self injecting. After I inject I draw back a little until I see a small air bubble. To me this is confirmation that I haven't hit a vein or blood vessel. You don't want the oil getting into the blood stream directly through a vein or blood vessel. This can cause heart failure. I try to stay at least a couple of inches or more above the knee. One time I got a little too close to the knee and injected. The injection went well but the next day it felt like I was kicked there and I was limping so you must take care. Test Enthanate and test cypionate come suspended in different oils just for the reason you mentioned. You have a choice but if you haven't reacted negatively by now chances are you're not allergic to cotton seed oil. From: Mike Lawson <mlawson66@...> Subject: Testosterone injection site soreness Date: Sunday, July 13, 2008, 8:32 AM Hi folks, I've just recently started on TRT. I alcohol swab the vial, and the injection site, draw about .7 cc into the syringe, bush .2 back to get rid of all the bubbles, inject into the muscle on the outside of the thigh, just above the knee, then press another alcohol swab against the injection site for about a minute. I don't think I'm doing it wrong, but I do get some redness and it gets really sore. The depot testosterone comes from a compounding pharmacy and I think it is prepared in cotton seed oil. I've asked that the next refill be prepared in another oil in case I'm allergic to the cotton seed oil. Anybody have any advice on this? Thanks, -Mike

Guest guest
Thanks . I didn't know that hitting a vein could cause a heart attack! I'll be more careful. > > I inject into the thigh. Guest guest
I guess I must be doing it wrong. I use a 27ga X 9/16 " needle & inject into the outer thigh. No pain, no bruise, no soreness & it only takes a couple of minutes. I take in about 1 cc of alcohol air, draw from the bottle, into the syringe, shoot it into the vial, turn the vial upside down, pull the plunger all the way back, wait about 45 seconds for the .3cc of T to come in, then inject into the thigh. I do this twice a week. > > > > Hi folks, > > > > I've just recently started on TRT. Guest guest
Just remember, it's not the testosterone but rather the oil that it's suspended in that can cause problems. Testosterone cypionate and enthanate are deep intra-muscular, not intraveinous although I think I've read somewhere there's a version of intraveinous water based testosterone out there somewhere.
