Guest guest
, I have spent the last couple of hours reading the transcript and additional info on ALA and LDN and your story about your husband and his use of silverton. Were you able to use the ALA and/or LDN on your husband? I have colon cancer with mets to liver & lungs and am highly interested in finding out where IV ALA might be obtained. Would a naturopath be the proper place to begin looking? Im in Orlando. My onco might be willing to prescribe the LDN, but I'm not sure. Thank you. Guest guest
Hi Toni, I had breast cancer. I was a vegetarian raw foodist doing all alternative stuff for years prior to being diagnosed. So, I decided to do lumpectomy plus radiation. Now I'm trying to use alternatives to correct what went wrong. I have a doctor in Lakeland who would probably prescribe LDN. When I was diagnosed, he handed me a list of alternative treatments and told me he wasn't actually allowed to discuss any of them with me. I also have my local GP who is an osteopath would probably would prescribe it. Let me know what you learn. Thanks, ar > > Hi Ar, > > > > What type of cancer do you have? Guest guest
Hey Toni! If you go to the Group LDN_4_Cancer, you can join that group and the list moderator, at your request, will send you a list of LDN-prescribing drs in your area. Most doctors will not prescribe naltrexone for cancer. xoo tonid2000 wrote: > > , I have spent the last couple of hours reading the transcript and additional info on ALA and LDN and your story about your husband and his use of silverton. Guest guest
Hi and anyone from the group: Did you come accross about success stories regarding use of LDN combined with Intravenous Vitamin C. Our doctor use Intravenous Vit. C, LDN, Alpha Lipoic Acid (oral - softgel capsule), Ca+Mg (Calcium+Magnesium) and Oral Vit. C. My mother has stage 4 mets liver, lungs and bones. Thanks Rod ________________________________ From: <Angiojs@...> Sent: Sunday, May 23, 2010 1:40:39 Subject: [ ] Combination Low Dose Naltrexone (oral) and Alpha Lipoic Acid (IV) for cancer  I am in the process of writing a book about 4 treatments, which I consider to be both innovative and lifesaving. Guest guest
Hi ar, I received diagnosis 2 days ago that I have early stage IDC in one breast. Surgery for lumpectomy is June 17th followed by radiation. I do NOT want the radiation!! And absolutely will not do chemo if that suggestion comes around later. Can I ask what went wrong as per your note below and what, through your experience, you - OR OTHERS HERE - might recommend instead? I donated a kidney 3 years ago and am doing very well (other than this breast cancer). Therefore chemical treatments will be doubly bad for my one remaining kidney. I've always exercised and eaten well, non-smoker etc but in last 2 weeks have switched to all organic foods, lots of raw fruits and veggies and am doing a TCM liver cleans with herbs along with acupuncture. BTW, I will be 49 this summer. Barbara > > Hi Toni, > > I had breast cancer. I was a vegetarian raw foodist doing all alternative stuff for years prior to being diagnosed. Guest guest
Hi Barbara, I'm so sorry about your diagnosis. I also did NOT want radiation. Finally, after researching a lot, and speaking to different doctors, I decided to do it. I don't regret the radiation at all. Though sometimes I do feel a bit ill at ease about all the radiation. As to what went wrong in my body, a raw food, vegegarian diet did nothing to deal with the fact that my body did not remove excess estrogen. So, I began using calcium D-Glucarate to do that. I also discovered that I was low in iodine. Go to http://www.breastcancerchoices.org to learn more. I also learned that I have adrenal fatigue, which contributes to development of breast cancer. Bottom line, a raw food diet will NOT fix all cancer causing conditions. It truly bothers me to see people saying that it will. So, definitely do it to detox, but do not rely on diet alone to keep cancer away. I will not be naive again. Keep doing what you are doing. Keep that kidney healthy. Acupuncture should be great for that, too. I'm glad you are doing it. ar > > Hi ar, > > I received diagnosis 2 days ago that I have early stage IDC in one breast. Guest guest
Hey Arlyn, how did you learn you were low in iodine? Did you do the loading test? I've been on 200mg/day for probably a year now and I am now hypo w/a goiter .... WHAT? xxoo Melisa > > > > Hi ar, > > > > I received diagnosis 2 days ago that I have early stage IDC in one breast. Guest guest
Hi , Yes, I did the iodine loading test. Unfortunately, I have not been able to retest, so I stopped taking the iodine. Out of money, you know. You're hypo now? Wow. Are you sure you are hypo? Sometimes goiters can be caused by too much hormone as well as too little. What are your lab results? ar > > Hey Arlyn, how did you learn you were low in iodine? Did you do the loading test? I've been on 200mg/day for probably a year now and I am now hypo w/a goiter .... Guest guest
, It sounds as if you need a little boost. I do best under 1, too. I'm concerned about the goiter, though. What does your doctor say? ar > > > > > > Hey Arlyn, how did you learn you were low in iodine? Did you do the loading test? Guest guest
She's not concerned ... just had an ultrasound and she just said if it gets bigger to let her know. Of course, she's the twit that practically turns herself inside out when she sees how low my LDL cholesterol is ... says she wishes SHE had those numbers (59). Little moron has no clue about the inverse relationship between low cholesterol and cancer. Dohhhhhh! I've had one ever since I had Graves ... xxoo > > > > > > > > Hey Arlyn, how did you learn you were low in iodine? Did you do the loading test? Guest guest
Hi , Doctors are funny. My cholesterol was always very high. Three years after going vegetarian, it finally dropped to below 200. Currently it's around 160 (total) and my doctor wants it down another 30 points. Is he crazy? It's perfect right where it is. If I was a meat-eating couch potato that feasted at Mcs every night, then that would be one thing. But that's not me. Sorry about the goiter. I had one when my sub-acute thyroiditis happened. I guess there's not much you can do about it. Meanwhile, can you take a little bit of synthetic T4 to raise your T4 level? All my best, ar > > She's not concerned ... just had an ultrasound and she just said if it gets bigger to let her know.
