Guest guest
Yes I talk to men with this problem all the time the treatment is the same but you just need to keep an eye on the Tumor. Most get an MRI every 6 months. Guest guest
Almost all pituitary tumors, called prolactinoma, are benign. It's very rare for it to be cancer. In addition to your MRI your Dr. should have given you a prolactin blood test. I have a microadema pituitary tumor. This is treated with cabergoline which has no bad side effects. I dated a women whose tumor was too big for cabergoline treatment. They removed the tumor by surgery by going up her nose and removing the tumor. She had no bad effects from the surgery. > > > From: Jim B <j-buscemi@...> > > Subject: Central Hypogonadism > > > > Date: Friday, September 11, 2009, 11:05 AM > > HI, > > hAs anyone has this caused by a pituitary tumor? > > > >
Guest guest
If the prolactin blood test is what suggests the tumor, he may have done that becuase they did blood work after my office visit that day and he called me lless than 48 hrs later and was talking as if he knew i had the tumor and there was an urgency to get me in for an MRI.. I didnt look at the lab slip, which I usually do , so I dont know what blood tests he ordered. Guest guest
I don't think he knows but the labs maybe telling him it can be a problem a lot of people have pituitary problems and don't have a tumor. A head injury one had yrs ago can cause this as you get older it can't keep up. Guest guest
This may well be your problem at the time I first got sick and talked about the auto accident Dr.'s kept away from it and would tell me I am not sick do to my auto accident. Now today I know why they all did this to me they did not want to get involved in a law suit. So you might want to thank about saying anything about how you had a head injury just tell them it's a long story and the story will not help with the problem. Guest guest
Dear Phil, thank you for your information. Here are his test result: Testosterone 213 ( 280-800) ng/dl LH 2.63 (1.5-9.3) mIU/ml FSH 3,60 (1.4-18.1) mIU/ml TSH  0.858 ( 0.350-5.500)mcIU/ml Prolactin 10.2 (2.1-17.7) ng/ml  what i read, i should know what is his serum iron level, so i have checked it. the result is 81 ( 65-175)  Should i check his estradiol level? From these laboratory result, can you tell me what is happening to him?  thank you very much.   > From: nitads <nitads (DOT) com> > Subject: Central hypogonadism > > Date: Tuesday, November 10, 2009, 8:12 PM > Dear all, i am new here. the reason i > join, is that my husband (37 yo)has low T,and normal FSH and > LH which (from what i read) mean central > hypogonadism. Guest guest
Yes I would check his Estradiol levels before trying to get this treated if it's high and you can get it down with Arimidex he can have better levels but not all that much better he is dam low. I need to see his Estradiol to tell if he has a Pituitary problem high Estradiol can lower LH and FSH levels if his Estradiol levels are good or not over 40 pg/ml then I would think he needs to have his Pituitay looked at doing an MRI to rule out a tumor this is rare to be cancer. His Iron is not below normal but on the low side talk to this Dr. about this. A thyroid problem can do this to Iron levels his TSH is low need more labs on this. Guest guest
Hello My levels are: T: 179 FSH 3.5 mUI/ml LH 3.8 mUI/ml Prolactine 7.7 ng/ml DHEA-S 1.8 mcg/ml 17-OH Progesterone 1.3 ng/ml 17B-Estradiol <20 pg/ml Androtendiona 2.0 ng/ml  I also have a cyst in the epididimus, but my doctor says it´s got nothing to do with my low T. He wants to put me on TRT with one shot every three months next week, but I dont feel fine with the idea. I have been doing well, sometimes with fatigue and ED but only sometimes until last week that I simply crashed, I didnt feel eating helped me at all to recover as before. I usually have a diet quite full of fruits and vegetables and fish, beef, milk and eggs, and very short on sugar and it has helped me through the years. I dont know what to do now. Any advice would be wonderful, thank you --- El vie, 13/11/09, philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> escribió: De: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> Asunto: Re: Central hypogonadism Para: Fecha: viernes, 13 de noviembre, 2009 16:01  Yes I would check his Estradiol levels before trying to get this treated if it's high and you can get it down with Arimidex he can have better levels but not all that much better he is dam low. Guest guest
If your in the UK or Austria this shot is said to work but starting out on it it is said to only last about 4 to 6 weeks one needs to work up to it lasting 3 months. I would not do this shot for myself I am fine doing shots of T every 3 days most do will every week. Guest guest
My husband had performed MRI, and the result is normal. we plan to give him TRT. are we still have to check his estradiol after that MRI result. I read about nebido and sustanon injection. which one you prefer?  thank you > > > > > From: nitads <nitads (DOT) com> > > > Subject: Central hypogonadism > > > > > > Date: Tuesday, November 10, 2009, 8:12 PM > > > Dear all, i am new here. the reason i > > > join, is that my husband (37 yo)has low T,and > normal > > FSH and > > > LH which (from what i read) mean central > > > hypogonadism. Guest guest
Nebido when men first tried it in the UK did not do well on it because Dr.'s did not know it will not last 3 months when you fist start on this. Today most know they need to do more sooner and work up to it lasting 3 months. Here is a good forum where you can read about men on this. http://www.andropause.org.uk/newforum/forum_frameset.htm Co-Moderator Phil > > > > > > > From: nitads <nitads (DOT) com> > > > > Subject: Central > hypogonadism > > > > > > > > Date: Tuesday, November 10, 2009, 8:12 PM > > > > Dear all, i am new here. the reason i > > > > join, is that my husband (37 yo)has low > T,and > > normal > > > FSH and > > > > LH which (from what i read) mean central > > > > hypogonadism.
