You might want to search the archives, the files, and the links. This place is a great tool for doing your own research into gall-bladder health. " Hi Janice, Thank you very much for forwarding the question, though it seems to have gotten jumbled up somewhere in the process. I was just pointing out that 0.8 pH is not even close to " pure acid " if that's meant as being either pure HCl or pure H+, and that pure HCl WOULD be excreted as a gas. It doesn't because it's dissolved in water-- and obviously a considerable amount. And the other things must be dissolved in water-- the question was what specifically dilutes the HCl, and I assume it is the other gastric juices, with the exception of the mucous, which I don't believe mixes with the HCl. Guest guest
>First, after all the HCL discussion, I did the Bicarb test this weekend....first day, 8 minutes, 2nd day, no burp so I guess that solves it. Adding HCL supps to my regime. What would be the recommended dosage? I went to order some this weekend where I usually get my supps, and it comes in 400Mg......so just curious how many I should stock up on. ~ . _______________________________________________ I bought a bottle of 200 tablets containing 325mg Betaine hydrochloride and 65mg Pepsin (from porcine - whatever that means, is that piggies?). Anyway, even 6 of these does not cause any burning sensation so I'm a bit mystified. Do I keep upping the dose every day? Do I know I've reached my limit when I burn a darn hole in my stomach? Another query is that morning after 5 HCl with dinner, the bicarb soda test took 15 minutes! (only 7 mins the first time with no HCl the night before). So what does this mean? Any ideas? TIA, Filippa
