I notice that Natural News has a special on Hemp Seeds. My question is,

Do you have to grind the seeds like you would flax seed?

If you don't grind flax seed, you don't get the benefit of the nutrients in

them, so I was curious about the hemp seed.

Can anyone answer that question for me?

Thank you so much.

I would try asking at my local health food store, or checking online.

Otherwise, no I don't know where you would buy them, sorry.

I'm pretty sure they sell hemp seeds at our local food co-op. I am putting them

on my shopping list today and I'll try to remember to get back to you with the

product information.

Manitoba Harvest shelled whole hemp seeds. Grown w/o pesticides but I didn't

see an organic certification seal. Smallish packages, though (under a pound).

Canadian.

Just go to a drug smugler or drug dealer, they have the best... hemp seeds

are marijuana seeds, but are legal in USA?

Apparently hemp seeds are not a carbohydrate? (with all that is implicated in

carbohydrates, as far as sugar and digestion is concerned?) and hemp milk is

made similar to a nut based milk, however that is done, but making a nut milk

shouldn't be too hard to find out about on the open highway? .. . the Internet.

This link should prove helpful with respect to something I know little about,

but our local health-food store gave me a bag (2 oz.?!) of hemp seeds for *free*

(up here in Canada) when I inquired about it, yesterday (for what that's worth)

They didn't have the milk and it doesn't seem so easy to find locally, so you

might want to make that yourself or check on Amazon. I think it's available

there, or maybe even Ebay.

Hemp seeds taste pretty good actually. I can't see kids who like a walnut

sort-of-flavour not liking it.

I got this link from another board, wherever else that can take you

http://www.livingtreecommunity.com/store2/product.asp?id=171 & catid=21

We're also experimenting with coconut milk (coconut water with coconut paste

mixed in?) which we got at the healthfood store, and we all liked it. It wasn't

exactly like the condensed stuff typically found in cans and used for baking.

A change is as good as a rest? Variety is the spice of life? .. .

Try what you will
