Guest guest
So, here are my most recent labs done on 11/17. Serum Testosterone: 167ng/dl (241-827) Free Testosterone: 3.7pg/dl (8.7-25) So, still really low after one month on Testim 50mg. Doc is raising the dose to 100mg and will recheck in 3 weeks. If still low we might go to shots. Before starting Testim my total T was 292 so it would certainly appear that it shut down my HTPA. Doc says he likes to see guys my age around 600ng/dl. So any suggestions on diet cause obviously SHBG is high, of course the total T being that low isn't helping either. Thanks, Jody
Guest guest
We need to see SHBG and Estradiol levels. Yes the low does of Testim slow down your LH and FSH messages that your brain sends to your testis to make testosterone. This is why men need to get tested 2 weeks after starting on Gels. As for Diet just eat good no junk or take out food don't get into low fat diets. I follow the Weight Watchers program they teach you how to eat right and lose weight. Some of us like myself suffer bad fatigue from low T and can't get exercise so we gain weight the more we gain the more problems we have. Try not to get under treated like I did if your levels come up to say 600 and you still don't feel better go higher. Dr.'s did this to me for 23 yrs when I first went on TRT my weight was 178 lbs today I am at 300. I blame this all on the fatigue I suffered for yrs. on TRT due to low levels and Dr.'s that would not listen to me. You tell most of them your still not right and they off your Anti-Depression meds. Run from Dr.'s that pull this crap when I got my levels up near the top of my labs range I started feeling better to back it's 23 yrs later and I am now 65 with problems do to my age. Guest guest
I know - things look good huh? I should probably just exercise more or something. I don't have much energy. But, I realize persons are much worse with symptoms. Not sure what you mean by under-treated though > > > > ...
