Guest guest
Funny how I usually ignore LEF newsletters, but I was just thinking of getting online with them to see if they offer Vitamin D testing, and what do you know, they're offering it for only $25 until June 2. Big sale price on that and their normal panels. Fate must have pushed me online there today. Sorry for the flood of LEF information today, but not sure if everyone gets their stuff. http://www.lef.org/bloodtest/?source=HomeTopBanner
Guest guest
Yes, there are some good deals there, but those prices are only for members. I've been thinking about buying vitamin D tests for some of my relatives, if LEF would let me do that. By the way, in case it ever comes up again, I got a two-year membership a while back for $29 (normally $79 for one year). I signed up for the free one-year LEF magazine via a special at Dr. 's site, then went to order an E2 test. It popped up a blurb saying the test would be cheaper if I were a full member, and did I want to do that now - for only $29 extra. I said yes, but as it turned out I ended up with a two- year membership. Well, that's probably a mistake, but I haven't argued about it. So next time the magazine special comes up, it might make sense to check it out. My only complaint about the LEF tests is the time it takes. They mail you the requisition, then you do the test, then they mail you the results. I've done business with other online lab outfits, and everything is done by email - they email you a .pdf file which you print out as the requisition, and then the results are sent the same way. No snail mail involved. But otherwise, the LEF tests are a good resource to have available if you have LabCorp in your area. > > Funny how I usually ignore LEF newsletters, but I was just thinking of > getting online with them to see if they offer Vitamin D testing, and > what do you know, they're offering it for only $25 until June 2. Guest guest
10 tests from LEF cost me less than the combined cost of a 1) free & total testosterone test & 2) free androgen index from themultiservicenetwork.com. Though the themultiservicenetwork.com emails .pdf forms for blood work, as well as supplying results via .pdf & snail mail, LEF.org 1) quickly mails out requisition forms for members (shipping is free on everything), 2) costs less, & 3) allows easy payment (themultiservicenetwork.com requires that you pay through paypal). Pay a little extra to get them to ship the requisition form faster, & you'll still spend less than buying elsewhere. The membership fee quickly pays for itself. Thorough doctors like Dr. no (a dr. in CA whom Phil recommended) test multiple hormones through blood work, which virtually necessitates affordable, independent access to blood tests. In response to wayback44, LEF lets you designate lab work for yourself or others. ~Xian > > > > Funny how I usually ignore LEF newsletters, but I was just thinking > of > > getting online with them to see if they offer Vitamin D testing, and > > what do you know, they're offering it for only $25 until June 2. > Big > > sale price on that and their normal panels. Guest guest
That's good news. Then the only question is whether you can still upgrade to a full membership for only $29, and whether you actually get two years membership when you do that. That all worked for me, but that was months ago. > > > > Funny how I usually ignore LEF newsletters, but I was just thinking > of > > getting online with them to see if they offer Vitamin D testing, and > > what do you know, they're offering it for only $25 until June 2. > Big > > sale price on that and their normal panels. Guest guest
Yeah, the $29 thing is still good at LEF. I just joined last week, and I was resigned to paying the $79.00 that was listed, but when I clicked the " Join " button, it came up at $29.00. Then, when I was all done, it showed that the membership was for 2 years. I don't know why they don't publicize it. I almost didn't join, thinking it was $79.00 per year. > > That's good news. Guest guest
I think if you sign up for the free magazine when you order tests you can just for less money how much less I can't say not a member. wayback44 <no_reply > wrote: That's good news.
