Guest guest
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Has anyone gotten to the point where they don't need to flush anymore? I have heard that even if the flush removes all the stones from the gall bladder, that they will keep coming back anyway. However, I wonder if changing diet and health habits could prevent the stones from returning. Also, I just want to say that I appreciate all the advice and support on this site. I suffered with gall stones for years. I was too chicken to do the flush for fear of getting the stones stuck. Last year, I had an attack was rushed to the hospital. The stones blocked the bile duct and were removed via ERCP. Then they removed the gall bladder. The tests said that there was a possiblity of pancreatitis and I have been feeling sick ever since. I keep wondering if I had done the flush and then lost weight, exercised, etc. if I could have gotten rid of the problem without surgery. Last but not least, for all of you trying to help yourselves naturally - here are some things I learned: - If you are on birth control pills or HRT, get off now. My attacks started almost a year after being on BC pills. The doctors told me to get off them immediately after the attacks started. That's because the estrogen causes stone formation. (They only tell you that AFTER the fact.) - If you can lose weight - do it, but not too quickly. I was overweight and sedentary. This is the worst thing for gall stones. - Sleep, sleep, sleep...I worked a million hours, always late, ate dinner late and was up all night. This messes up your hormones, which affects a lot of things. Also, the gall bladder does some emptying overnight while you are asleep. Good luck to all of you and thanks for all the advice....Randi >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Randi; Thank you for this bit of information regarding what you've had to deal with. As for having to continue flushing that is a good question. I can only say that I personally haven't done a flush now, in the normal methods, for over two years. I use colonics and olive oil to help but just not in the way I use to do it to flush. I maintain a diet that I think is pretty much a constant flushing action for the liver and gallbladder. All I can say is that it appears to be working fairly well since I haven't had another attack since the end of '99'. I can also say that in time my liver has gotten much better but it has taken a very long time. Some people don't seem to be able to get to a point where they don't have to flush. I don't know if it is because of diet or lack in exercise or simply because of being predisposed to getting making bile stones. I'm just very thankful that I've not had another attack in such a long time. I attribute much of that to the information I've applied from Dr. Cabot's book " The Liver Cleansing Diet " .
