Maybe that is

when the body eliminates. Does anyone have suggestions about what

foods to eat or avoid?

Hello,

As soon as I get a chance, I'm going to order Beta-Plus. Before my GB was

removed, I was taking Beta-TCP for years, which helped me. But for those who

have had their GBs removed, Beta-Plus helps the diarrhea problem. It's bile

salts.

Thanks for your help!

Dr. Cabot says 4 to 6 cloves per day for 4 weeks.

No, we don't all have them out...there's still some of

us that are hanging in there :-) Or maybe you were

just referring to the ones in your subject line?

Sorry, but anyway, will let ya know I flush again tomorrow

night, have myself on an almost-every other month

flush routine now for the time being. My gallbladder

feels about ready to " bust " even if I just drink a

glass of apple juice, so think she's ready to go :-)

I'll let you know how I make out.

Anyone know how much raw garic one would need to take daily to rid

himself of parasites? I've been on the Hulda tincture cleanse for

11 weeks- parasites still exist from the itching symtoms Earlier posts

someone mentioned killing them with garlic- but he never told me how

much. Any thoughts?

Hi ,

Sorry to hear you're still having gb problems. It seems like you have

done so many flushes. I wonder why it hasn't helped. How long have

you been doing them? Also, if you are on any hormones (ie. BC pills

or HRT), it may help you to get off of them. They can cause stones

and hurt the gall bladder. The docs think BC pills caused my

stones. I started getting attacks after being on them for a year.

I sure hope you don't have to have your gb out. Bless you for all

your hard work on flushing and all the help you give to this group.

Good luck...Randi

Hi Randi,

I talk so much it may seem like I've done more than I have.

I used to do them about once or so a year, starting when

I was about age 36. At around 45, I stopped, knew I needed

to, but just didn't. Had an ultrasound at 49 and they told me

I had quite a few stones, but still was bad about doing anything.

Finally, 5-6 months later, I did one flush. I thought, like in

the past, that would do it, it usually was enough. BUT, I guess

that now that I'm older, that's not the case. So, almost a year

after the last flush I mentioned, on 1/27/03, and again in

early March, I did flushes....both produced quite a bit.

I liked someones theory at one of the many web sites I

visited, that the stones are packed in the gallbladder, and

need a little time to " unstick " from one another as you make

more room for them to move around when you flush, so good

to wait a month or 2 between, so that's what I've been

doing. I feel better after each one, and there are improvements

in other areas after each. So, I guess I'll just keep on

every other month until there is a long spell of feeling good

so I know the work is complete. If I don't want to keep

on having to do this, I have to work on building my liver,

but was advised by someone knowledgeable about these

things not to do the building until I've done more

cleansing. I want to avoid having my GB out, but

won't be a fool about it, if it becomes necessary, I'll

have it out.

So that's my story...at least some of it. I don't take ANY

hormone replacement, never did, never plan to. Do take

lots of good vitamins, minerals, etc., and eat fairly well.

In fact, when I compare my plate without the foods that

I avoid because of my gallbladder, and with fruits,

vegetables, etc., that look so pretty, with the plates of my

friends who have had theirs removed, or don't have

problems with them, with all their greasy foods, I can

see that my diet is so much better because of my GB.

Thanks for writing...

Although my stones were initially caused by birth control pills, I

think working lots of hours and not exercising probably made it

worse. For example, I am sedentary at my job and I often eat on the

run. Sometimes, I work long hours and skip meals.

Randi,

I was guilty of all the above too. I didn't use BC pills, but I was on

estrogen for several years. I'm sure it helped cause my gallstone problem, plus

my

past diet.

The last few days I've been trying foods that I haven't eaten in years

because of gallstones. I have just wanted to see if I've missed anything. I

had

some fried chicken tenders (only could eat a little bit) the other day. I used

to eat those things. Now I see how my diet affected me so much. Those things

sure were greasy and it tasted heavy.

Well, at this time I'm ready to go back on my regular eating plan that I've

been on when I had my GB. The food is a lot healthier.

, thanks for writing back. I appreciate the info you provided

because I desperately want to understand WHY people get gall stones.

Although my stones were initially caused by birth control pills, I

think working lots of hours and not exercising probably made it

worse. For example, I am sedentary at my job and I often eat on the

run. Sometimes, I work long hours and skip meals. The doc said this

is bad for the gb. He said you need to eat every 4-5 hours so the

gall bladder keeps contracting and emptying. This is just food for

thought in case it can help you at all. Also, I checked out Dr.

Mercola's website and he says that whole beets are an excellent way

to thin the bile and limit the risk of gall stones. He also

recommends something called Beta TCP which thins the bile. (Susie

mentioned she took this and it helped her. Thanks Susie!) Hope this

helps...Randi
