Guest guest
Everyone likes to look at numbers so here's the results of my last blood test. I am taking 200mg of Depo-T once a week and this blood draw was right before my injection. Total T: 451 (400 - 1080) Bio-T: 335.6 (130.5 - 681.7) Free-T: 115.4 (47 - 244) T % Free: 2.6% (1.6 - 2.9) SHBG: 14 (11 - 80) E2: 56 (0 - 56) TSH: 0.71 (0.4 - 4) Free T3: 3.5 (1.8 - 4.2) Free T4: 1.6 (0.8 - 1.9) My impression? Well, with my relatively high dose of Depo-T (200mg / wk) I did NOT expect to have my T come back on the low end. Although my Bio-T and Free-T are at about 1/3rd the reference range I did actually expect it to be above the halfway mark. My SHBG is the highest it's ever tested at which tells me that the feedback mechanisms for SHBG related to Testosterone seem to be boosting my SHBG which is good but since my T levels still look low it's no wonder my SHBG levels aren't higher. As I was warned about prior to switching from Gel's to Depo-T injections, my E2 is becoming a problem. My libido and " wood " have been okay, especially in the morning, so I didn't expect my E2 to come back this high. And if this is at the end of a dosing period it must be a bit higher during most of the week. I'll have to talk to my doctor about this when I see him. Darn, I was really hoping to avoid an E2 problem. On a side note, my thyroid looks good! Have to count my blessings. :-)
