Hi, Toni and Ar,

You do not need a oncologist to prescribe LDN. You can ask your family

doctor who understands LDN to do so.

Hi Toni,

I'm in Orlando as well. I'm interested in finding out what you learn about

local oncologists prescribing LDN.

Best of luck to you.

prescribe the LDN, but I'm not sure.

Hi, Ar, your doctor is crazy. Do not go down another 30 points in

Cholesterol. I heard that too low cholesterol (under 160) may increase the risk

of

cancer.

Hi ,

Doctors are funny. :) My cholesterol was always very high. Three

years after going vegetarian, it finally dropped to below 200.

Currently it's around 160 (total) and my doctor wants it down another 30

points. Is he crazy? It's perfect right where it is. If I was a

meat-eating couch potato that feasted at Mcs every night, then

that would be one thing. But that's not me.

Sorry about the goiter. I had one when my sub-acute thyroiditis

happened. I guess there's not much you can do about it. Meanwhile, can

you take a little bit of synthetic T4 to raise your T4 level?

All my best,

ar

about the inverse relationship between low cholesterol and cancer.

Dohhhhhh! I've had one ever since I had Graves ...

Jim,

Yeah, I just laughed at him. I asked him how I was supposed to achieve this

ridiculous goal. He told me to eat fish. I reminded him that I am quite

allergic to fish and a vegetarian. He told me to get 30 minutes of aerobic

exercise three times a week. I reminded him that I am not able to exercise that

much due to a connective tissue disease.

He is actually a good doctor, and I'm glad I have him. But, I think a healthy

diet and a healthy lifestyle should come before numbers on a chart.

My father and sister have very high cholesterol, too. We all went to the same

doctor for many years and he put them on cholesterol lowering medications. I

asked him why he didn't offer them to me and it was because of my healthy

lifestyle. Nowadays, my father brags about his low cholesterol while he

continues to eat junk food. I'm not sure if he has actually been helped much.

:) Of course, I'm the one that ended up with cancer. So, there you go.
