I cooked it earlier for dinner. I chopped one onion and the red bell pepper, then cooked them a little in olive oil and threw in the kale. I then added some of my garlic, pepper and sea salt, then let it wilt some before adding 1/2 cup of water and let it steam. I then added 2 garlic cloves right at the end of the cooking. and I loved it! I almost got too much sea salt, though. But it was still good. I may try it your way next time. Thanks, Susie
Guest guest
Susie, Kale is one of my favorites...but really gets me " going " the next day. I steam cook it until very tender, then toss in some melted butter or the liquid fat free " can't believe it's not butter " that you can get with a few drops of sesame oil in it...yummy!! I love kale...it is best when the leaves are firm and tightly rippled or curled. L. Susie, I forgot to mention that you also splash a little soy sauce in when you toss the steamed kale...so it's steam the kale, drain, put some melted butter or some of that fat free liquid butter, about a teaspoon or to taste each of sesame oil and soy sauce. Toss and enjoy. I'll have to give your recipe a try, too :-) L.
