Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I had my surgery follow-up visit today and was concerned that it would be expensive. Well, guess what, no charge!!! I don't even know anymore if that's standard practice or not. That's not even the best part. My total bill was $2800. I was thinking that, boy, all this is going to be so horribly expensive. I don't have any insurance, etc. But we were talking to the girl at the front desk and she was asking how we wanted to set up a payment plan. We said that since we're both self-employed, that it would be difficult for us to know how much to pay every month, that some months it would be more, some months less. And we told her that we were paying $500 down. Well, she went and talk to the doctor for not even one minute and came back and said that all we'll now owe would be $500, period, after our $500 down payment. That the doctor was knocking $1800 off our price. Wow!!! That was some relief to us, a huge relief. Of course, the hospital bill is still to come. I'm sure it's a whopper, but at least this happened, which is a good thing. He was a nice and kind man, the surgeon, and he was a good surgeon too!!! So all in all even though I tried to save my GB through the years, which I wish that I could have, I think that all worked out good. The surgeon told me that my GB was extremely diseased. Another thing, there was an elderly lady there in the waiting room. My husband and I got to talking to her and she said that she had her GB removed 10 years ago and never had not one problem since. All take care, Susie
