Can anyone who have had this surgery please enlighten me on how your

experience went. Was recovery painful or no? How long did you stay

in the hospital? These types of things. I have never had surgery

before and it kinds of scares me, because the only time I have had to

be in the hospital was when I had my baby. No broken bones when I

was growing up, no stitches or nothing like that. So please help me

to stop stressing so much. I have heard it should be fine I could go

home that same day or the next day and its a common surgery performed

all the time. But you see why I am still kind of nervous.

Thank you.

I too was told I " had " to have my gallbladder taken out, as were many of the

people

on this list. By reading many of the postings here, I learned that there is a

non-

surgical way to rid your body of gallstones. There are risks to gallbladder

surgery.

One in 200 get the main bile duct accidently snipped, causing serious liver

issues.

Way too high a risk for me! Many have chronic, run to the bathroom diarrhea-

forever. When facing surgery, it's ALWAYS better to be sure there isn't

another, less

invasive way to take care of the problem. I hope you will read, read, read,

learn about

liver flushes, go to curezone.com, (.org?) and postpone your surgery until you

are

absolutely sure that there is no other way. So many people here have gotten rid

of

their gallstones themselves, without the risks of surgery. I am about to do my

first

liver flush- I was told by ultrasound that I have many, many stones.

Can you tell us what problems you are having? Please ask any questions you

have,

but luckily, you have come to the right place.

Also, go to the files section of this site and read the file called " What

my doctor

didn't want me to know about gall bladder surgery " It's very enlightening. You

are

probably getting this list through email. If you are, you have to go to

groups,

then my groups, then if you are a member of more than one group, click on the

gallstone group. To the left is where you find the " file " section.

I am going to flush as long as I can to cleanse the

gallbladder, and try to build liver/GB, but if I do someday

have my GB taken out, I have 5 friends who have had

theirs out all within the past year...amazes me that so

many all at once, guess it must be the age that

we are. Anyway, they all did well and are doing fine,

despite all the scarey stories I have heard by visiting

web sites of those who promote the natural way. I

have relatives and friends that have had theirs out

the old-fashioned way before they did the laperscopic

surgery, that lived to a good old age.

Diarrhea seems to be the biggest thing some struggle

with, though none of my friends or relatives are having

trouble with this, and there are natural remedies for that.

I do feel that I eat better having my " challenged " gallbladder

because greasy foods irritate it.
