Guest guest
I was scared to death to have my surgery, I always refused it when I was in the hospital, finllay after a bad attack of pancreatitis, i let them do an emergency surgery. But they did have to sedate me before going in and I guess I am glad about that or I probably would have ran out of there. As for the surgery itself, I was only 20 and I had just had a baby, I was also having attcks a couple times a week so I was no stranger to pain, I had the laproscopy and I took lots of Arnica before and after the surgery, and after the surgery I only had 10 mg of morphine once and that is it. At home I took a couple Tylenol here and there but I dont like to take meds so I didnt very often. It was much easier than I thought. I stayed in the hospital 2 days and that is because of the pancreatitis. I also have developed IBS since having the GB removed which is somthing the DRs dont tell you, I think just about everyone has gotten this. When are you having the surgery? How many attacks have you had? > >Can anyone who have had this surgery please enlighten me on how your >experience went. Was recovery painful or no? How long did you stay >in the hospital? These types of things. I have never had surgery >before and it kinds of scares me, because the only time I have had to >be in the hospital was when I had my baby. No broken bones when I >was growing up, no stitches or nothing like that. So please help me >to stop stressing so much. I have heard it should be fine I could go >home that same day or the next day and its a common surgery performed >all the time. But you see why I am still kind of nervous. >Thank you. > > _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
