Guest guest
HELLO COOKEY, YOUR PROBLEM IS CAUSED BY THE LYME BACTERIA BEING TOO CLOSE TO THE SKIN SURFACE. THIS FREQUENTLY OCCURS WHEN USING ANTIBIOTICS THAT MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR THE LYME BACTERIA TO LIVE. THE LYME BACTERIA IS SEEKING A SAFE PLACE TO ESCAPE THE ANTIBIOTICS. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS CONDITION ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. AT FIRST I DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING, THE SKIN WILL FREQUENTLY BREAK OPEN CAUSING A RASH. I NOW KNOW HOW TO TREAT THE CONDITION. ONE NEEDS TO HEAT UP THE SKIN SURFACE AND THIS WILL KILL THE SURFACE BACTERIA. I HAVE USED A HEATING PAD OR A HOT SHOWER. FOR YOUR FACE A HOT SHOWER AND LET THE HOT WATER RUN ON YOUR FACE WILL PROBABLY TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM. YOU DON'T NEED ANY DIAGNOSIS. BEST WISHES, SIDNEY
Guest guest
Cooky - I also have started getting red welts on my face that fade into brown spots. Is that a lyme thing??? I also used to have perfect skin, now I break out easily. Micki > > Does anyone out there have any raised skin rashes when they herx or > have an increase in lyme symptoms? Guest guest
Well I have had so many rash the rashes had rashes for a while I would not be to concern about as changes in soap, that type of deorderant, even ever the shampoo give me problems and mostly the best is just watch what your using for a while then if it keep up recheck with you Dr. Bud Does anyone out there have any raised skin rashes when they herx or have an increase in lyme symptoms? I have a few places on my face which are red welts and then fade into brown spots. The dermatologist diagnosed it as seborrhetic keratosis, but it coincides with symptoms. Just getting concerned that maybe I need a biopsy to look for spirochetes. Know any good labs that are more reliable for this type of thing? Thanks, cooky
Guest guest
Cooky, I get something similar except the spots fade to purple not brown. Doxycycline and Cipro have both seem to " create " the rash by running spirochetes out through the skin. That is what my dr explained and I believe that is similar to what Sydney posted. I had one little bump that turned into a large knot and had to get the dr to cut it open and remove all the gunk inside. It was very weird stuff, looked like grandular white sand. Dr said the body walled off the spirochetes as they tried to escape through the pores. He said sometimes the chetes get caught up in the residues of the abx hence the weird white pasty wax that appears inside the lumps and bumps some Lymies get. - > > Does anyone out there have any raised skin rashes when they herx or > have an increase in lyme symptoms? Guest guest
Just a fyi...i did some research on lyme rashes last night and found evidence of a teritiary (late stage) lyme rash that turns purple, but not brown....so who knows in my case. I did notice those pasty white knots on my face which i figured were white heads, but looking back could have been abx and spirochetes. Nothing surprises me anymore. cooky > > > > Does anyone out there have any raised skin rashes when they herx > or > > have an increase in lyme symptoms? Does your daughter have candida, or has she had colds and flu, etc. or has she been exposed to some toxins, i.e. processed foods, cleaning supplies, etc., etc., etc.. Rash is the body's way of getting rid of toxins. Bee

She gets very swollen tonsils often (4 times last year.) It has tested negative for strep. Right now her throat is not sore but her voice is very horse. She refuses natural health remedies. Her dad takes her to the doctor and they give her antibiotics. No on the cleaning supplies but she lives on processed foods. They are wicked and very toxic. She needs nutrients and elimination of toxic foods. Sorry Pat. My own daughter won't listen to me either. Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, > My two year old who has been on the diet for 1.5 weeks now has developed a rash on his tummy. It starts above the navel and ends right under his chest. I'm assuming it is die off/detox related. He is taking 1 T of coconut oil daily right now. I have given an epsom bath, and rubbed coconut oil on it several times. Is there anything else I should do for it? ==> , the body externalizes healing to the skin to protect vital inner organs, and the skin is also one of the best ways for the body get rid of toxins. So yes, it is die-off/detox related. ==>To soothe rash you can pat on some baking soda; wet your fingers and pat it on after you apply coconut oil. Guest guest
I've had red itchy bumps all over my back but especially in the upper center -- very itchy, it burns when I put 3% hydrogen peroxide on after my bath/shower. Dh has been dousing it with coconut oil each night & morning -- sometimes I think it's getting better & then it gets worse again -- dh & I started this diet the end of September & are very pleased with the results -- we both feel better & have lost a lot of weight (very good thing) -- he's lost about 35 & I've lost about 21 - give or take a pound or 2! I'll try the soda -- any other ideas that a woman of 61 can do? A rash is a good sign that healing is taking place for sure! There might be some more good ideas in the Skin & Nail Treatments Folder. Hi June, I had the same thing recently. I rubbed coconut oil on and then patted oil of oregano on top of it. The oil of oregano was the only thing that eased the itching. I tried the oil of oregano without the coconut oil, but that burned too. You could probably just mix a few drops in the coconut oil instead of doing it like I did. It still took a couple weeks to heal up. In fact I still have just a few, but they aren't itchy or open anymore. Good luck! Gail
Guest guest
I tried the oregano oil -- it does seem to help --- this morning I put H2O2 on after my shower, then the co & that seems to relieve the itching for a while but I'm going to have dh apply the oregano consistently along with the co & hopefully I'll be able to clear my rash as well -- thanks for your help _________________________________________________________________ Get live scores and news about your team: Add the Live.com Football Page www.live.com/?addtemplate=football & icid=T001MSN30A0701
Guest guest
As mentioned I recently started Testim therapy. I noticed I started to break out with what looked like angry boils with white heads or pimples. They are located on each forearm and not where I apply the Testim (elbow to shoulder). I read the Testim side affects and it only referenced a rash on the application sight. Is the breakout normal? FYI Phil, I am starting the process to go see Dr. Crisler. Thanks for the reference. This enables me to continue to travel and get support on the road.
