Get your Dr. to show you how to do your own shots most of us do this it's the

lowest cost way to do TRT.

And you don't need to use them big long needles I use a 27g 1ml.x 1/2 " lg.

needle and shoot into my thigh. Been doing this for yrs. and my levels are the

same as getting the shots at my Dr. in the rear.

Hi, You might try Androgel in the pump bottle.  It is less expensive in volume.

I have to use 2 bottles of it each month to keep up my t-level requirement ( no

testes).   Injections are a pain the ass ( no pun intended) unless you can do it

yourself.  Just my opinion.

I have tried injections at the doctor's office every few weeks but the

hassle of driving, waiting, and injection was more than I could

tolerate.

I've been on Androgel now for several years using two 5-gram packets on

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with single packets all of the other

days. But, it is really expensive -- even with my insurance.

Have any of you found a better " least cost " option that I could ask my

urologist about ?

Thanks.

Hey Dave,

My doc discussed the options with me when I first started. We agreed

that Androgel was big$$ for me. He said a compounding pharmacy could

do similar cheaper either in a gel form or a cream. We ended up doing

Test Cyp shots that I inject. With my insurance it ends up costing me

$25.00 for about five months.
