That seems pretty low for as much androgel that you are using. Perhaps your skin is not as open to the absorbtion process. As far as depression, anxiety and libido go, I would be more focused upon your E2 levels. High Estrogen compounds the effects of low testosterone. I have tried Macca before, but i did not notice anything spectacualr about it. Others seem to experince benefits, so your milage may vary. Guest guest
I can't speak to any GNC products but the depression and anxiety was common with me. You'll probably find it common with others too. You'll tell this to your doctor who will probably prescribe anti-depressants. This is no big deal since he has no way of determining whether or not you have clinical depression. Anti-depressants introduce a chemical into the body known as seratonin, a neuro transmitter produced by the gastro intestinal system. I was on them for a year. But all anti-depressants did for me was give me diaherria, a known side effect of anti depressants. I'd recommend them only as a last alternative. Patches and gels never worked for me, had to go to injections so keep that in mind as you proceed with your therapy. jonfleetmac <jonfleetmac@...> wrote: Such as GNC's Macca Man (?) - - something like that ? Guest guest
jonfleetmac, I think your depression is a result of your hormones being out of balance. Work towards a thirty to one ratio, of T to E. With a high 300 of T, your E should be ten to fifteen. Ideally your T should be near 600-900, and your E near twenty to thirty. Arimidex seems to be the most recommended scrpt medication to lower estrogen. Some folks have luck with DIM, from the health food store, but it is hit or miss, and not a sure thing. As E increases depression becomes a problem, in males. I think the consenses here on this board is that, most men's health products, although they may help a very few, are designed to seperate you, from your earned dollars. And those supplements that do help, only do so for a short period of time. regards david Anyone have experience with Macca powder as a supplement for sexual health? > Such as GNC's Macca Man (?) - - something like that ? > > Also, any advice if I'm on 7.5 grams of Androgel daily and running in > the high 300s and no higher. > > How is depression / anxiety related to T levels in this range? > I've experience dark periods of depression recently that I've never > experienced before. > > > > >
Guest guest
Yes Maca is good stuff I get it by the pound and take 1/2 tsp in my applesauce in the morning and in my yogurt at noon. It helps keep your Adrenals, Thyroid and Testosterone level. Also in most men it helps with libido and your amount of seaman. Your gel is not working to have a level of the 300's is dam low men are going on TRT when this low your levels are that of a old men 85 to 100 yrs. old. A lot of men gels don't get through there skin and you end up feeling worse. Because what is getting through is shuting down your LH this is the message to your testis to make testosterone. Feelings of Panic, Depression, Fatigue, Brain Fog, ED, and many more Bone loss for one. Happen when your this low. You need to keep your Total and Free T levels up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range for a young man. And check your Estradiol " E2 " down between 10 to 30 best at 20 pg/ml yet some men do good at 40 not many. If I were you I would get on shots do the first shot at 200mgs then every week 100mgs don't let your Dr. talk you into every 2 or 4 weeks this is old and does not work good. Do you own shots it's a pice of cake. Go to www.allthingsmale.com Read TRT: A Recipe for Success and the HCG Update. Once your leveled at the upper 1/3 of your labs range add in HCG this acts like LH the message that tells your testis to make testosterone. Doing this will keep all the LH receptor cells in your body and brain working and you will feel much better. Also I have a new forum for Dr. at this link a must forum to be a member at he will be having Top Dr.'s there off and on taking questions. http://musclechatroom.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2 Here is a good link to read about low T. http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html This link every guy with low T needs to read on page 11 it states to do shots every 7 to 10 days in case you need to show this to your dr. http://www.aace.com/pub/pdf/guidelines/hypogonadism.pdf jonfleetmac <jonfleetmac@...> wrote: Such as GNC's Macca Man (?) - - something like that ? Guest guest
I bought a pound of the Maca powder. It never did anything for me either. I think a person needs a strong extract of Maca to see any benefit. kissie Re: Anyone have experience with Macca powder as a supplement for sexual health?
