Currently SAATHII works in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Manipur, West Bengal, Orissa and Rajasthan. Mission: SAATHII is a capacity building organization that helps to scale up HIV prevention, care, support treatment services, through training, technical assistance, information dissemination, operational research, networking and advocacy. Core Programs: SAATHII has been providing technical, programmatic and coordination assistance to more than 150 Government and non government organizations in the country since 2002.SAATHII's key contribution towards technical, financial and programmatic technical assistance combined with advocacy, and information dissemination has resulted in; * Development of the first National Directory of HIV/AIDS services * PPTCT services for more than 500,000 pregnant women in four high prevalence states * Comprehensive family centered care, support and treatment services to 18,000 adults, 12,000 affected and 3,000 infected children in Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh * Decentralization of HIV care in Salem and Karur districts of Tamil Nadu * STI/HIV/AIDS prevention services to around 14,000 sexual minorities and PLHIV in West Bengal, Orissa and Manipur * Formation of CBOs for scaling up of HIV prevention among high risk groups * Establishment of India-specific HIV/AIDS websites and popular e-forum that reaches 3,000 individuals and organizations on daily basis * Capacity building of more than 500 government and civil society agencies * Mainstreaming of HIV as part of various ministries in Rajasthan * Documentation of best practices in six high prevalence states. Profile of Dr. Raghavan Dr. Sai Subhasree Raghavan is the president of SAATHII which works towards Universal Access to prevention, care, support and treatment services. Dr. Raghavan has more than twelve years of experience in HIV/AIDS programs, advocacy and research. Under the leadership of Dr. Raghavan, SAATHII has been instrumental in scaling up of Prevention, PMTCT, and care, support and treatment programs in eight states of India. Dr. Raghavan, along with SAATHII, has worked at international, national and district levels to advocate for Universal Access to HIV/AIDS services and involve civil society in the Global Fund process.
