REVIEW

Leukaemia inhibitory factor in implantation and uterine biology

Leukaemia inhibitory factor (LIF) is one of the most important cytokines in

the reproductive tract. Without expression of LIF in the uterus, implantation

of a blastocyst cannot begin. Yet, 13 years after publication of the phenotype

of the LIF knockout mouse we are only just beginning to understand how LIF

functions in the uterus. This review addresses our knowledge of the role of LIF

in regulating implantation through its influence on the luminal epithelium and

stromal decidualization, but also its influence on reproductive tract cells

such as leukocytes and glandular epithelium, during the pre-implantation phase

of pregnancy.

with IV Vitamin C?

+++Hi . There are many people who have, but you might have to search

on the Orthomolecular websites to find them or on the Linus ing site.

I have the Prevention Magazine's " Vitamin Book " that reports curing leukemia

with vitamin C. Another book " Cancer and Vitamin C " by Ewan Cameron and Linus

ing, reports many cases of all kinds of cancer cured by vitamin c, along

with leukemia. It also discusses how leukemia is misdiagnosed.

A friend of mine just discovered he has Leukemia. He is 81 YO. Before he said

both his white and red blood cell counts were extremely low = near zero. He is

pretty much into allopathic medicine and does not want any natural therapies to

interfere or conflict with what his doc is doing. He said he is taking Nuprin.

I may not have got the name right as I am not a big fan of conventional therapy.

I even told him some foods to eat. Does anyone have any ideas I could give him

using these guidelines?

Thanks

GB
