Guest guest
I honestly don't know if I get wood during REM or other times during the night. I seldom wake up that way. I can sometimes get it that way on my own, and I'm successful with Levitra or Cialis, but neither are covered by insurance. In general on injections, my T is in the upper range, and my E is controlled with Arimidex (usually 19 or so). I have severe back problems, and take a lot of medications that any could be keeping things soft...but how does one know. The general idea here is to base things on wood..yet my number are where they should be. Any thoughts? Thanks
Guest guest
Phil's suggestion is better then mine. I read about a device that is supposed to go over your penis at night that measures arousal during the night. You might ask your doctor if you need more proof for some reason. Now I am off to build a vacuum/ traction device for my penis while I chuckle at the thought of explaining why exactly you put stamps on your penis. I can hear the jokes already. trannyboy
Guest guest
As for whether it is hormonal. It might be but there are a lot of reasons for ED. I would seek the help of a specialist in erectile function. They can test the different components of your erection system (it is a system) and see if physiologically everything is working. After that you could always consider a trial without medication or different medication to see if it improves the ED. I wish my pain medication decreased my erections... god it can hurt post op. trannyboy
Guest guest
What is the ratio that we should have with testosterone/e2? From: hardasnails1973 <hardasnails1973@...> Subject: Re: Wood Date: Friday, January 7, 2011, 11:33 AM  noctural and morning erections are due to e2 fluctuations. When you have good T/e2 ratio then wood is very strong that you can hang a coat from it. If you can perform well during intercourse with no issue then I would not be concerned about it, but if you ejaculate too early then this could warrant for further investigation. If this is a case you may want to get with a your GP to check your testosterone/e2 ratio by proper testing through sensitive e2, dhea-s, total testosterone, shbg, bio T to rule these factors out. If you do not have fatigue, depression or other issue then thyroid and adrenals should be in check. > > I've been reading different responses from different people in the group and they make reference to evening and morning wood. Is this something that I should be experiencing? I get very little wood. When I do, it's not very strong. When we find the sweet spot, is this something that I should be experiencing? It would be nice to have wood like I did in my twenties. > >
Guest guest
Yes this is what I call wood. http://www.sexdictionary.info/erection_nocturnal.html Even old men in the 80's with good levels of Estraidol and Testosterone have good wood every night this is your body's way of keeping the pipes clean. Guest guest
Forget about a ratio some men have a good ratio and feel like crap. It's best to get your Testosterone levels up say in the upper 1/3 of your labs range and to keep your Estraidol levels down to about 20 pg/ml for most men this is all it takes.
