The Programme Officer will be responsible for providing programmatic, technical and organisational development support to the Alliance India’s network of state level principal partner NGOs, their programmes & implementing partners. S/he will be supporting programme development and capacity building activities; promoting innovation and documentation of good practice in HIV and AIDS programming. S/he will be representing Alliance India and contributing to the support assessment processes within Alliance India programmes, lead partners and their implementing NGO’s. S/he will work effectively and collaboratively as a key member of Alliance India Programmes team and will also contribute to relevant new business development for the organisation.  S/he will develop appropriate relevant external relationships to foster support for all Alliance India programmes especially in the area of care, support and treatment for HIV and AIDS. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with excellent programme management experience, strong written and verbal communication skills with significant experience of working in care, support and/or HIV treatment programmes, preferably within a non-governmental organisation setting. The candidate should have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the donor environment and related donor M & E and reporting systems. Experience in project proposal development and budget preparation will be an added advantage. The applicants should also demonstrate experience of working with multiple stakeholders in civil society and the government at different levels. The successful candidate should hold a Master’s degree in social sciences, health or development field (or equivalent) with at least 3-4 years’ relevant project management experience in the public health or development sectors. The candidate should also have demonstrated experience and understanding of providing technical and capacity building support to organisations at the community level. The candidate will also have excellent communication, presentation and computing skills. Fluency in English and Hindi language is essential. Fluency in any other Indian languages (especially Tamil, Telugu or Marathi) would be of added value. The position requires a strong commitment to HIV/AIDS and sexual and reproductive health and NGO activities in India, and a strong interest in and understanding of the relevant issues This position involves regular contact with children and the Alliance India operates rigorous recruitment and selection procedures and check that reflect our commitment to the protection of children from abuse. The Child Protection Policy will be made available to the short listed candidates. Grant Writing Officer (Full-time) Gross Salary from Rs. 4,66,923/- p.a. The Grant Writing Officer will take lead role in the conceptualisation and writing of various funding proposals for multi-lateral and bi-lateral donors, private foundations, and trusts in co-ordination with other team members. S/he will also be responsible for providing relevant technical capacity building support to Alliance India’s network of state level principal partner NGOs and implementing NGOs in proposal development/report writing.  S/he will be responsible for the proof reading of various proposals, reports and ensuring standardisation of documents developed in terms of its structure and content. S/he will also responsible to provide training on proposal writing and reporting procedures to Alliance India team members and other partner organisations. In the area of project monitoring and reporting, the person will have to support the Programmes team in developing project results framework and related indicators for incorporating into Alliance India’s program monitoring plan, and coordinates with partner organisations in generating progress reports. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with hands on experience in project proposal development and reporting procedures. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, and proven ability to write in a clear and concise manner. Adequate experience of working in care, support and/or HIV treatment programmes, preferably within a non-governmental organisation setting will be an added advantage. A good understanding of legal and ethical issues around HIV is also essential. The successful candidate should hold a Master’s degree in social sciences, health or development field (or equivalent) with at least 5-7 years’ of relevant experience in the public health or development sectors especially in grant writing and reporting procedures. The person should have proven experience in providing technical and capacity building support to organisations at the community level. The person should have strong analytical and communication skills. Fluency in English and Hindi language is essential. Fluency in any other Indian languages (especially Tamil, Telugu or Marathi) would be of added value.
