GSNP+ was formed on 6th February 2007 in Surat by 7 people living with HIV/AIDS, which now have presence in 24 districts of Gujarat. Out of 24 districts in 22 districts registered district level network are working which are registered as per Society Act. GSNP+ is also part of the national network as it is affiliated with Indian Network for People Living with HIV/AIDS (INP+). GSNP+'s Visions is " Every People Living with HIV in Gujarat can live healthy and long life without any stigma and discrimination and also stop new prevalence of HIV infection " . GSNP+ invites in open interview for the below post. DOCTOR – PART TIME Qualification: An MBBS degree with minimum of three years experience. Job location: Ahmedabad Roles and responsibilities of the Doctor includes: .. Diagnosis, prophylaxis and treatment of OI through in-patient and out-patient services .. Monitoring of PLHIV initiated on ART .. Monitoring of PLHIV on pre-ART care .. Conduct regular ward rounds for in-patient care .. Maintain case records for all patients .. Ensure infection control practices are in place at the centre .. Ensure accessibility of PEP and adherence to universal precautions by all health care providers in the CCC • Counsel patients on treatment and drug adherence • Encourage patient treatment literacy and give patient education • Encourage positive prevention and positive living • Provide information on proper nutrition • Prescribe nutritional supplementation if required • Review stock of medicines periodically and discuss supply requirements with the Coordinator • Review stock of reagents and chemicals and discuss the same with the Coordinator • Review the record keeping by the nurses and recommend training if any required • Admission and discharge of patients • Coordination with link ART center MO/SMO on patients treatment plan and follow-up • Refer patients for specialist services as required • Refer patients for any medical tests and examinations as required • Establish linkages with other medical facilities for treatment and diagnosis NURSE Qualification: Should have a diploma from a recognized nursing college with about 2 years of experience in a public or private health care institution. Job Location: Ahmedabad Roles and responsibilities of the Nurse includes: • Provide nursing care for in-patients and out-patients • Take the vital signs and follow-up readings of the patients as per requirement • Maintain follow-up charts • Provide medicine intake to the patients as per doctor's prescription • Observe for any changes in the condition of the patient and report to the doctor • Assist the doctor in OP clinic as well as during ward rounds • Counsel patients on different aspects such as treatment adherence, drug intake as per regimen prescribed, nutrition and safe sexual behaviour, positive prevention and positive living, reproductive health choices. • Provide anti-natal and post-natal care to women with HIV • Provide nutritional supplements as required • Maintenance of patient records and case sheets • Coordinate and track the referrals from and to other medical facilities • Report on the referred cases from other facilities • Report on stocks of medicines and other consumables • Provide data on the formats required for monitoring • Maintain the drug dispensed register and the stock of drugs received • Function as case manager for overview of the referrals and linkages including integrated care of the PLHIV. • Coordinate with the outreach workers to follow the treatment and follow-up plan as advised by the clinical team • Practice Universal precaution principles • Participate in the staff meetings and provide feed back COUNSELOR Qualification: It is desirable that the counselor should hold a post-graduate degree either in Psychology or Social Work with 2 yrs experience in HIV/AIDS field.. Knowledge of computer applications is essential. Job Location: Ahmedabad Roles and responsibilities of the Counselor includes: • Provide adherence counselling on ART and drug adherence, nutrition counselling and counselling on positive living and life after infection • Provide psycho- social support • Provide counselling on prevention practices and on primary prevention • Provide follow up counselling on repeat visits • Train outreach workers on essential counselling skills • Family counselling on home based care and stigma • Provide counselling on other support services available • Bereavement counselling • Maintain individual counselling records and counselling sheets • Assist the Coordinator in the collection and compilation of MIS • Facilitate establishment of linkages with support groups and PLHIV networks in the local area for two-way referrals • Provide feed back to the doctor regarding individual cases • Liaison with the nearest ART center so that PLHIV initiated with ART access services in the CCC Following are the details of open interview.
