US CDC Global Health Achievement Award: Dr Dipanjan Roy,

Dr Dipanjan Sujit Roy MD DNB MNAMS, Medical Epidemiologist, Centers for Disease

Control and Prevention, Global AIDS Program, India  was awarded the US  CDC's

Global Health Achievement Award for 2009. This award is presented to Locally

Employed Staff (LES) of  US CDC working in any field of public health throughout

the world. The award reflects India's contribution to the field of public health

and US CDC India team' s work in India.

Global Health Achievement Award: For outstanding contributions in developing

global public health capacity and sustainability, by engaging local partners and

host government public health professionals to adopt best practices or

methodologies.
