Guest guest
Has anyone had a skin reaction to zinc w/copper? I'm taking 50mg zinc with 2mg of copper once a day to help control estrogen converstion. I seem to be getting itchy skin and small hives welts.I'm only taking the supplement every other day now because of the reaction.I am also on T- Cyp injections 200mg every 10 to 14 days. And I did'nt feel I was getting the full benefit of the HRT because of possible E2 conversion.I also ordered Indoplex with DIM as a possible substitute for the Zinc. Guest guest
I take Solaray brand Zinc/Copper pills once in a while. I do notice my skin is more sensitive to dirt/dust or something now-a-days. It only takes a few minutes sitting at a wooden table at a coffe shop to start my rashes wherever my skin contacts the surface. Or, wherever my fingers touch the table and then some open skin. The rashes dissipate as soon as I leave. At work I use wood oil to wipe my desk every night before I leave work and then dry wipe the table again in the morning. I also oil the wood counter tops that I lean against a lot at my employees' cubes. They thought I am a neat freak. But I am not... That said. I haven't determined that the hyper sensitivity is due to Zinc/Copper yet because I don't take that very often. Could it be the effects of increased T or Estrogen? I do noticed that if I take the supplement before bed, I will have an erection without much help in a few minutes. If I also workout intensively during the day, the effect is more pronounced. The stiffer erection could be in the middle of the night or upon waking up. Has anyone had a skin reaction to zinc w/copper? Guest guest
That is not how it worked for me I had itchy skin and borke out in hives adding Zinc/Copper helped it the itching stopped and I did not get hives anymore. Yet is did not last for more then a month. I started on Indolplex/DIM to get my E2 down and a lot of problems went away. Your doing shots 200 mgs. every 10 to 14 days is driving up your E2 and putting you on a roller coaster ride. Try doing 100 mgs. every week. Have you had your E2 tested.
