But i felt like a sellout. no way! doing any workout, no matter what it is, is fabulous!!! it doesnt have to be super tough in order to 'count'. you did exactly the right thing. the next time you try, aim for 11 minutes with billy and then switch to something milder. after that, shoot for 12 mins with billy and so on. this is how you build up your endurance... it is a real gradual thing. >I hope to be able to increase my lung capacity >eventually because i think when i used to work out >before i'd lose breath easily and eventually i got >better with it. ::nodding:: you will! just keep working at it. >I also get backaches in the middle of >the workout because my poor back has so much weight to >bear it strains (another good reason to lose) while you workout, you need to try to hold your abdominal muscles tightly. this will help to support your back. you may think that your ab muscles arent there, or that they arent doing anything, but they are there and will respond if you make a conscious effort to suck em in and hold them. you might find it a bit hard to breathe at the same time as holding your abs at first, but keep working at it and it will also get easier. you might want to also look into doing specific exercises for your back in order to strengthen the muscles there. >These 30 i'm wanting to lose before my trip is just >for vanity sake thats probably the #2 reason why people start working out... #1 is probably health issues. so starting now before any health problems arise is a smart thing to do. it is ok if wanting to look better is the reason why you start. but know that is going to take some time. in 6 weeks you might be able to lose 10 pounds if you are strict with your food intake, water intake and workouts. you have to really want it and change your lifestyle accordingly. an average of 2 pounds a week is a healthy loss.... any more than that will leave you with lots of baggy skin. slow and steady is the rule. since the physical results can take some time coming, concentrate on what other results you are getting immediate gratification from. like sleeping better, feeling empowered, feelings of accomplishment, feeling happy instead of depressed and so on. these are the things that will motivate you to keep going and to then eventually achieve the physical results that you want. :*carolyn. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
Thanks Carolyn:) I was trying to respond to each thing you said but i dont wanna drive anyone batty with another long email lol Thanks for the inspiration and congratulations on your loss! You guys are fantastic i've felt more like working out in the past two days than i have in months! I love the weight watchers too i was doing it with my ex boyfriend but i got too comfortable guessing point values and started regaining what i'd lost. I'm gonna go back to atkins to lose a couple pounds 'quickly' for my trip and will probably return to weight watchers to lose it more sensibly when i get back. I go back to school in january i have a couple months to'wow' my classmates who have seen me spread like butta in the past couple years yikes! Your advice was wonderful i like what you said about the abs and not feeling like they're there! I'm going to try my best but yes, its hard ot breathe and hold them in - did it before will figure out how to do it again and will try some back strengthening exercises i'll pick up pilates when i go on my trip hard to find stuff here and i dont shop online really. Where do you guys buy your workout dvds? I've done winsor pilates before and loved it - but its mail order right? Anyone know a good pilates i can buy in the store? also does anyone know any good latin or hip hop dance type workouts that i can also purchase in the store? Thankies!! Guest guest
Tami, If you are in Las Vegas the drive would be longer than recommended after surgery. If you need to drive back the doctor will probably ask you to stay an extra day or drive for a couple and stop and rest , walk around, etc and then continue. You could fly into El Centro or even Yuma, AZ although I think that flying to San Diego from Las Vegas would be cheaper. I have flown this route for 80 dlls round trip, right now maybe cheaper than gas If you decide to drive you can leave your car at the airport parking or parkings around the airport, they are safe. The airport parking is a little more expensive than the other ones. Coming alone is not a problem, I think that maybe 1/2 of our patients come alone. You can have you valuables placed in a safe at the hospital, this is what we recommend for patients that come alone, lap tops, watches, money, plane tickets, passports, etc. we have never had a problem but like to prevent them. There will probably be other people having surgery while you are there. Tamiderr312@... wrote: Did anyone drive into San Diego to have their surgery? Where did you leave your car? Was it safe. Guest guest
Nina: I haven't had the surgery as yet but hope to, I have a question. I noticed that Isopure is mentioned as one of the acceptable products and I also noticed what it costs. Are there alternatives to use that are less expensive than Isopure? Thanks. Guest guest
Hey Guys, I'm new to injections and I have a few questions. In July I switched over to injections after being on Gels and compounds that weren't working very well. A had a friend who was a nurse come over and walk me through the injection process. I'm still a little wobbly, but last week I switched over to smaller needles and I feel more comfortable. The first question has to do with injection sites. Dr Crisler said to inject into the lower outer quad. I've been injecting into an area about four inches up from my knee on the outer side of my leg. I usually have pain in my muscle for two or three days after my shot. It's not like I'm in intense pain or anything, it feels like I pulled a muscle. I thought it was from the 25g 1 " needle I was using and I switched to 27g 1/2 " needles. My first injection with the 27g I think I went through a vein, as when I pulled out i bled... then I had a bruise AND pain! (LOL,it's always something!) My questions about injections are: Can I inject anywhere on my thigh and not just in this area where I seem to be screwing up? Is muscle pain normal after an injection? Am I doing something wrong? My next questions have to do with Arimidex. I had labs done with Dr. Crisler after 6 weeks of doing injectons and HCG. He told me my testosterone level was in the 700's (which just about floored me, they had never gotten above 380 on the gels) My E2 however was in the upper third of my range. I knew something was wrong, as since I started the protocol I still had no libido, but I thought that my T was still low. He put me on Arimidex, half of a 1mg. tablet on injection day and a half three days later, new labs in five weeks I've been on this for two weeks and feel no different. Did I miss something? Did I go too low? How long does it take for to feel better on the Arimidex? I know, there's a process in dealing with all of this, and sometimes I can be just a tiny bit impatient. I've been on TRT for over a year. Like most of you I've been from Doctor to Doctor, on and off of Testosterone between doctors. Finally, I'm at a place where I have a testosterone level where it's supposed to be. I feel more productive at work. I'm actually getting off of the couch at home and am looking forward to putting in new floors this winter. We're working on the Estrogen. I'm almost at the frickin' finish line. I'm sure that my body is getting a bunch of benefits from all of this, and still no libido. So when do I get to be horny? Peace! Jim
