Guest guest Posted June 15, 2009 Report Share Posted June 15, 2009 Vacancy- Medical Public Health Director for INGO HIV Project in Kenya Job Title - Project Director - HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment Job Type - Full-time Location - Nairobi, Kenya International Health Organization Salary Very Good JOB SUMMARY Based in Nairobi, the Project Director - HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment will provide project leadership in support of the Government of Kenya and other partners implementing HIV prevention, care and treatment services in Nairobi and Central Provinces. The Director will be responsible for supporting public, private and NGO counterparts to increase access and improve the quality of services (provider initiated testing and counseling, basic care and support, treatment, TB/HIV services, prevention of mother to child transmission, prevention with positives, and voluntary medical male circumcision) in the project’s area of implementation within GOK and PEPFAR guidelines. JOB REQUIREMENTS At least five years of work experience in HIV/AIDS programs with 3-5 years of supervisory experience. Preferably MD with masters in public health. Excellent management, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to prioritize work according to importance and deadlines while meeting conflicting work demands; possess initiative, patience, tact, and able to work with minimum supervision; and ability to work effectively in a team and support others in their work.
