Dear Friends, My dad has been using LDN since October 2004. We also use Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to treat his stroke. I would sincerely appreciate your assistance in considering contacting your representative to support funding for this therapy. Thank you, Destiny WE have an amazing opportunity to try to get hyperbaric oxygen therapy approved for Traumatic Brain Injury which will then lead to the approval for stroke and many other brain injuries paid for by insurance. This is a significant step in the right direction and we all need to make our voices heard in Washington and ask our representatives to provide financing for this most important trial. Here is the web address to write to your representatives. http://ga4.org/campaign/HBOT_veteran. Also, below please find an article from http://www.healthfreedom.net/ explaining the history. You can make a tremendous difference. If you have any questions please feel free to email me. Thank you, Destiny Did you know that according to a recent study released by the military, between 154,000 and 392,000 service members and veterans returning from Iraq have suffered at least mild brain injury, and 30% of service members treated at Walter have mild, moderate, or severe traumatic brain injury? The Department of Defense (DoD)/Veteran’s Administration (VA) Brain Injury Rescue and Rehabilitation (BIRR) project is designed to treat these very service members and

veterans with hyperbaric oxygen treatment. This treatment originated in the military in diving and aerospace medicine. However, its use in traumatic brain injury was perfected at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine’s hyperbaric medicine/emergency medicine concurrent fellowship. There is a need to do a rigorous study to verify the civilian clinical findings, which have been replicated by many other medical professionals across the nation. Efforts which began at Walter in January, 2004, have now culminated in a project that will have joint cooperation between Army, Air Force

and Navy medical professions, plus research physicians at the Veterans Administration, who are willing to participate in this study. An independent, non-profit research organization, well known for its excellent and unbiased DoD/VA research, has agreed to coordinate the overall project.ihma_logo.jpg AAHF, along with the International Hyperbaric Medical Association is requesting $10 million from

Congress to coordinate and conduct treatment for 400 veterans. This is a sufficient group for this randomized and controlled trial to verify or refute the findings of the civilian physicians who have treated many patients and have expertise in this treatment A safe, effective treatment exists for Iraq war veterans who have suffered brain injury. This treatment is called HBOT and delivers a powerful dose of oxygen to the brain. HBOT is approved by the FDA but not for use with brain injuries. We need your help to overcome the bureaucratic obstacles to treating our injured veterans with an already proven therapy. On September 10th, the House of Representatives Defense Appropriations bill funded the AAHF-sponsored DoD-Brain Injury Rescue &

Rehabilitation Project. This university-supervised HBOT 1.5 study will start the randomized-controlled study of 100 veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). $1.5 million will only pay for 50 veterans to be treated, but is an important start. It must now be supported in the US Senate and signed by the President. Please write Congress TODAY and ask them to sustain this study through Conference and to increase funding. I share your same sentiments entirely ...

HOT is a wonderful effective treatment (for many conditions) but is so

costly for the average citizen - another therapy that only the rich can

afford - It is shameful.

Everyone,

Thanks for alerting us to this, Destiny. This truly IS an amazing therapy, not only for traumatic brain injury/stroke but for killing bacteria and yeast and a host of other indications – including MS. As an adjunct therapy to LDN, it’s wonderful. I just completed my 30th HBOT treatment today in the series I’m doing now to kill bacteria and yeast. I see stroke and brain injury patients in the clinic all the time and they do great. Let’s all join Destiny in this effort. Together we can make a difference!

Nope, it has nothing to do with photo luminescence. You can read all about it at hboinfo.com, which happens to be the clinic I use. They have some good info on their site.
