Hi everyone,I tried LDN - 2.5mg orally - last night for the first time. Took it at 10pm. Woke up about 4am feeling euphoric and went back to sleep. Woke up easily with the alarm at 7am for the first time in 10 years, feeling great. No swelling of my joints, no brain fog. Improved testosterone response too, as measured by...that thing that happens to healthy men in the morning, but doesn't happen to me unless I'm on testosterone replacement cream, which I'm not right now until the next order arrives. In short, I feel like the LDN is having as big of an impact as I felt when I first went on thyroid medication. Wow. Even 5 hours later, I am a lot more energetic than normal and feel mentally sharper. Is this a normal response? Background:I'm a 35 year old male. I had many ASD symptoms as a child and weighed 300lbs by my early 20's, mostly due to gut inflammation. I've been at 215 lbs for about 10 years, thanks to eliminating most wheat, and to literally handfuls of supplements. (I take 156 a day now, carefully designed to support my biology.) I grew up in a basement that had mold problems, and my blood tests show severe allergies to about 12 of the nastier toxic molds. Lived with stachybotyris for a year too, which didn't help. I have lyme disease, as measured with Igenex.com's ELISA and Western Blot, and confirmed as active with the MELISA test from melisadiagnostics.com . Wheat, dairy, soy protein, corn-fed meat, or any slightly moldy food cause GI pain and gas. Never officially diagnosed with chrohns, CF, or FMS, but I've been squashing symptoms of those things one at a time for years using supplements and drugs. For the last 6 months, I've felt really good, with a noticeable boost from 45mg/day of Actos. With Actos, I have no spare tire at all; in fact I look like a water polo player even though I do (strenuous) yoga only a couple times a week and get little cardio. I also use cholestyramine to reduce the lyme toxin levels, as Dr. Shoemaker describes on www.chronicneurotoxins.com .
