Guest guest
Hi Beverly, I was so pleased to read your health had improved so dramatically. Thank you for your fabulous post - a keen observation, a proactive response, and subsequently, enhanced potential to help others that follow. I'd love to record your journey so far, in detail (that is, record your health success story and create a case study from it) - so your story could be shared forward through the next revision of the free LDN book. If you'd like to contribute your story to next year's book, please email me at casehealth@... so we can work on it together, kind regards, Cris casehealth.com.au 2a. Microscopic colitis and LDN Posted by: " Beverly " beebie10@... beebie10 Date: Wed Nov 5, 2008 10:06 pm ((PST)) Hi guys: Thought I'd mention something interesting that is going on. I started LDN in March (dx MS Sept. 07) and feel it is definitely helping to stop progression of symptoms. But I also have an autoimmune microscopic colitis since Jan 99 which NOTHING over the years has been able to help. Daily diarrhea 4-8X day. Every day. I had been hoping the LDN would help the colitis as well, but it wasn't. Hoped gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free would help, but it didn't. Beginning of Oct. I noticed a vitamin tablet had passed thru me undigested (sorry!) and got to wondering if my LDN capsule was breaking down 100%. I know that generally capsules break down much easier than hard tablets, but still I wondered. So at beginning of Oct. I started opening up the capsules and emptying contents onto my tongue, washing down with a swig of my good old gluten- free beer (!!!) and within 2 weeks I started noticing a lessening of the number of times per day I had to " run. " Within the last 2 wks I have been able to sleep thru the night (used to get up 2-3X per night with d.) Within the last wk. noticed a slight " firming " of the d. Point is, I am seeing improvement--definite improvement. And this after approx. 3,600 days of straight diarrhea. Folks, this is nothing short of a miracle. I have even stopped wearing a Depend when I go out of the house. I will keep you updated, but if anyone out there is taking LDN for colitis or Crohns and not getting anticipated results, you might try doing what I am doing. I know LDN is supposedly rapidly absorbed, but maybe my digestive system is so bad after all these years of diarrhea, maybe I just wasn't absorbing it well. I also noticed that one more symptom of MS (numb arms while I slept) has gone away just since I started opening up the capsules. I know alot of Crohns use LDN in the form of transdermal cream, and maybe this is why. But opening up the capsules is no big deal, so I'm going to stick with this for awhile and see what happens. It is VERY bitter, but again, no biggee. I'll let you know how things go. Beverly
