Guest guest
Dear Fourm, In chennai the trend amoung IDU has reduced and currently there are only 200-300 current injection drug users in chennai, then why 6 intervention? In Kanchipuram hardly 3-4 current users, and 60 ex-users,In Tutukudi maxmium current idu is not more then 20-25 and ex-users may 60nos,in Madurai it is not more then 30-50 but ex may be more. why we are bringing this issue is because the service of de-addiction and rehablitation for this community is not avilable secondly there are lots of de-addiction centres opend by the community, but the ethic and neglegent of treatnment and in human way of treating the clients goes on.Most of the treatment is not controled by the govt scheme so we feel these centres should come under govt scanner.so that we can give the quality of service to the drug users and the alcoholic. In karnataka the health department and the human rights department inspected all the centres and issued mental act licence to run the centre,we feel the same system to be adopted in TN too. regards Elango & Kumar Cricket on your mind?
