the reason is that your system is weak.when you feel good you do too

much and then you have to pay for it.you must learn to find the limit

what you can do without having to pay for it the next day.

if you have been long sick with crohn it is also good to check adrenal

fatigue, progesterone and thyroid by a doctor that works with bio-

identical.

When you suffer from a chronic illness, the adrenals are adversely

affected. They try to prop you up by pumping out more and more

cortisol, until finally they become depleted. Over doing on a good

day --- making the mistake that you can now do physically what you

once could do before you became sick -- can cause you to crash. Boy

do I know that feeling well! :) I don't have lymes, I'm hypothyroid

- untreated for years because my TSH wasn't in range, so I ended up

with fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue ..i.e. adrenal fatigue.

The adrenals need lots of vitamin C -- at least 2 grams. Having

Chrons, I don't know how your gut will handle that. Adrenals also

need salt, the non-processed kind like Celtic, Himalayan, or Redmond's

Real Salt. Salts like Mortons is overly processed and very unhealthy.

Try putting a pinch of salt in some water and drinking it.

I found a site on adrenal fatigue that would be a good place to start.

Thank you Lorie,

I am sure I have adrenal fatigue. I just got off of Prednisone.

Not really sure what to do with Thyroid meds because I am only seeing

doc next week, we shall see.

I really tried yesterday not to push myself as that was the suggestion

from a couple of days ago as to why I felt bad. I made sure I napped,

ate on time and I went to my chiropractor and saw a movie. I didn't

do anything to push myself. Perhaps that was too much. I am not

sure. I am used to being a prisoner in this body.

I will try and be more diligent.

I do see I get out of breath very easily on the days I feel bad. I

have like a shortness of breath. Could this be due to adrenal

fatigue? seems more likely to the lyme stuff.

I had the same problem last winter and ended up in the hospital. I was off the Prednisone and just kept getting weaker and weaker. Come to find out I was dangerously low on potassium and dehydrated and had to have 2 units of blood. Might want to get your levels checked by a doctor. I do believe that coming off the prednisone affects your cortisone levels also. Becky

It's also symptoms of adrenal fatigue and thyroid problems. If you

haven't had any tests done for your thyroid, you should request: TSH,

Free T3, Free T4 and anti-TPO and TgAb, Ferritin, B-12 and vitamin D -

25 OH. There are three excellent groups on for you to check

out: NaturalThyroidHormone, Iodine and NaturalThyroidHormoneAdrenals.

Also, http:\\StopTheThyroidMadness.com. If you are dealing with

other issues like thyroid and low ferritin, B12, and D, you're still

going to feel crappy even if you get the colitis taken care of.

Janie's site (StopTheThyroidMadness - is a good place to start for

both thyroid and adrenal issues). Take care and try not to get to

frustrated or depressed. The road to recovery can sometimes feel like

it takes forever, but there are a lot of resources here on the 'net we

didn't have 15 years ago. I wish Janie had been around back in '93

when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I could have gotten treatment

for my thyroid then. But at least she's here now, and she's given me

info I need to get myself well.
