Guest guest
SPECIAL NOTICE: LDN GROUP GUIDELINES (version: 10-25-2006) A Message from the Moderators With the growth of the Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) Group, several members have asked that guidelines for the group be clarified, to help preserve the quality of communication that has made this group a useful resource. We ask that you read and adhere to the suggestions below, which we will re-post monthly and update as needed: PURPOSE This group is an announcement and discussion group for those interested in LDN, and who wish to be notified about updates to the Low Dose Naltrexone website (www.low dose naltrexone.org). SEEKING INFORMATION We strongly recommend that before seeking advice or answers from the LDN Group, please consult the official LDN website, www.low dose naltrexone.org (aka www.ldninfo.org), a rich source of accurate information regarding LDN, edited by Gluck, MD. This will save time for all, prevent redundant messages in the Group, and help maintain the accuracy and timeliness of information shared. SENDING MESSAGES Messages sent by members to low dose naltrexone , as well as replies to group messages, will by default be sent to the entire group. Keeping that in mind, please make sure that your message: * Does not contain spam, advertising, or any form of solicitation * Is not likely to be offensive to other members of the group (e.g., does not express aggression toward other members, use offensive language, etc.) * Does not contain blatantly off-topic (non-LDN) information or requests * Does not contain information meant for one person * Does not contain large attachments or inclusion of multiple prior messages. ** Violation of any of the above may result in being banned from the group without warning. ** Message Etiquette: * When responding to messages, please delete all prior information/emails, leaving only the sentence/paragraph you're responding to. * When writing e-mail, please keep the number of messages you address to the entire LDN group to a minimum. * Please avoid requesting information already available on www.low dose naltrexone.org. Off-topic Posts: It is natural for discussion, on occasion, to stray into areas tangential to LDN. Discussion of a topic related to LDN can be a valid use of this discussion group -- as long as the topic does actually relate in some way to group members' use of LDN. In practice, members are rarely banned for making the occasional off- topic post, unless the nature of the post is offensive to other members. However, if an extended discussion (more than three messages) ensues that is not relevant to LDN use, please take it somewhere else (e.g., e- mailing one another directly, or finding a more appropriate forum). Please be considerate to general readers of the group who must wade through off-topic discussions in order to find something relevant to LDN. MODIFYING MEMBER OR EMAIL PREFERENCES Go to low dose naltrexone and select " sign in. " After you've signed in, select " edit membership " at the top of the page. This will access your membership page where you can change your preferences: * To Stop Receiving General Group E-mails (but still receive official messages concerning updates to the LDN Website): Under " Message Delivery " select " Special Notices - Receive only important email notices from the group moderator. " * To Reduce the Number of E-Mails You Receive: Under " Message Delivery " select " Daily Digest " (this gathers multiple e-mails into a single e-mail to reduce the volume). * To Leave the Group: Select " Leave Group " in the bottom right-hand corner. (Or, to unsubscribe by e-mail, send a message to low dose naltrexone-unsubscribe .) After any change, select " Save Changes " at the bottom of the page. FINAL THOUGHTS A warm welcome to our group -- we sincerely hope that you will be one of those who benefit from LDN. If you have questions or feedback regarding these guidelines, please write to low dose naltrexone-owner (given the volume of e-mail we receive, please pardon delays in responding). Thank you for helping spread the word about LDN and being part of this supportive community! The Moderators low dose naltrexone
