Guest guest
I spoke to Dr Hoffman today and he was incredibly nice and gave me some useful info I really wanted to share. He said my symptoms of debilitating aching, back stiffness, headaches, joint issues can be due to many reasons and some of them over-lapping; 1) LDN is causing an increase of symptoms for the Crohn's that is being expressed by Extra Intestinal Manifestations such as joint issues etc (the above mentioned) 2) The Erlichiosis might be going out of whack and it is in fact a Lyme Co-infection issue. 3) Vitamin D and Vitamin D3 deficiency 4) He does not think that my transdermal cream from Hopewell is bad but he said in order to ease my concern he will place an order with Coastal. Game plan: LDN is doing well on gut issues so he thinks I should increase LDN to 3 and see if it also helps with body issues. Take liquid vitamin D3 (between 5000-6000 units daily) See where we go from there. He think me starting therapy for Erlichiosis is not a bad idea although he wants me to do it under GI's instruction since I need to do various C Diff testing and C Diff carrier testing too. Today, I felt a bit better but then I plummeted. Didn't do anything to push myself. Really watched myself. I took one drop of D3 and felt better about an hour later- meaning the throbbing became a low level aching that I can totally deal with and move around the house, function and cook. I am very very happy about this. I hope to be able to continue to up my dosage without it causing gastric upset, nausea or vomiting. I was wondering if anyone else has had this with D3 on LDN? I am hoping this will be a ke in the puzzle to help me get out of the house again. Pretty awful being house bound. Jodi
