HI MARY & ALETHA - i've been using vicks for coughs and colds for many, many years - over 50 yrs.!! it works for me!! always rubbed it on chest & throat; pinned a sock around neck, to keep vapors going in, all night!! also used vicks with a vaporizer!! most soothing!!

Thank you, that is good to know. There was a post sent to me that rubbing a ton of it on your feet as you go to sleep can stop a cough for the night. Unfortunately one person who had a really bad cough has tried it recently and that did not seem to do the trick. Perhaps it is best as you use it. I will try each the next time and see how it goes.

All my best, Aletha

everything doesn't work for every body; and sometimes, we have to be consistent when using a remedy!! one night may not have done the trick with rubbing vicks on the feet; but i have heard that it does work!!

Hi everybody,

two weeks on my cold is much better. i still have the cough, not as

bad, but not gone. the mucinex d worked very well for me. the dr.

prescribed benzonatate (for tessalon). it enabled me to sleep, and

everybody else in my house. the vicks was fine the first night. it

was the second night that gave me the problems. the fumes seemed to

irritate the cough.

i was only on the ldn 4 days when this terrible cold arrived.

all the best, mary
