I wet the sticky side of the patches with liberal

amounts of water. This theoretically dilutes the

patch, but not really. All the extra water is

absorbed by the skin(like under a bandaid), and even

with the water they are hard to stay on. Using

smaller thinner strips of them helps too. I doubt the

skin would hold up to tapes over a long time, and very

inconvenient. Good luck. Keep posting. We all

basically have the same problems.

I use them in the small of my back just above my butt. They sometimes bunch but

for the most part I havent had to much of a problem with them staying on. Sorry

I dont have any suggestions on this one.

Hi melanie

I had the same problem. I found that if you clean the area with

rubbing alcohol and dry it, the patch will stay on all day. My next

problem is trying to keep it from 'bunching' when on the curv of my

neck or low back. These are truly problem spots! Try the alcohol- it

works!

O, I hope it is ok. I also use lidodern patches and recently started using Voltaren gel. I hope that with LDN I won't need the gel.

Lidoderm is essentially a local anesthetic, I don't think it is on the bad list.

Has a different action than narcotics.

Opinions? Is the pope Catholic?

I'm kidding :)

Neurontin & Lyrica destroyed my quality of life.

If Lidoderm is a patch styled novacain I had some way better results than

Neurontin & Lyrica but- Caution- patch medications have a habit of not working

as well with us SMAers because our muscle atrophy and lack of collogen and

lateral muscle tissue causes patch meds to absorb erratically.

patch.  Does anyone have an opinion about this option?  I am reluctant to try

Neurontin or Lyrica due to the possible side effects.

I use Lidoderm patch as needed- it does help, along with Lyrica and Vicoden,

taken in the evening. Neurontin was bad for me.

Danny used Lidoderm patches for a year or so, back when he was really skinny and

the arthritis pain in his boney hips was unbearable. It did help him. I'd say

it's worth a try for you too. Hope you get some relief soon.
