Hi Kev:

Thanks for bring up the question about benadryl or sleep meds if ldn causes sleep problems. I was thinking about asking that earlier in the week so I'm glad you brought it up.

I have chron's and my GI doctor right now won't write a script for ldn. I'm trying to decided

to either use a doctor over the phone who charges $7.00 a min which is lower in cost or see a general practitioner doctor locally that charges $150.00 and hope that the office visit turns to results in get a prescription for ldn. On other doctor is a dermatologist and wants $145. for an office visit. It's a little confusing but I know I have to do something to start feeling better and begin ldn. so I start to feel better

Money is very tight since with my illness I'm in pain every day and can't work full time. I had several tests this summer and my GI doc confirmed the chron's was active but has not spread further in my digestion track. I want to make a decision soon about where I'm going to get a script for ldn.

I also read on a message board different from this group that people that started ldn 1st began with 1.5g then to 3g then to 4.5g. that sounds better to me. i"m not exactly clear after how long they were on the 1.5 before they bumped it up to 3.0. but i guess the doctor can tell me that.

do you also have chron's? what was humira like? my doctor wants me to go on it if i don't start feeling better. thanks in advance to your experience and suggestions you might relay here on the group.

Best,

I used Benadryl when I started on LDN. Since you're going to take it for Chron's you should probably use the cream. I'm using 3 mg. and have been on it since March 1. I was on 1.5 mg for a wk. I don't have Chron's.My Gastroenterologist was willing to prescribe it.Betty

Hi Betty,

Thanks for the info. Why is the cream better for Chron's?

Some people have absorbtion issues so the cream bypasses the stomach

and goes straight into the bloodsteam (I think thats right!).
