Guest guest
I was fine at night (some vivid dreams) had energy this morning and at around 12pm I started feeling tired. Now I feel flu like and my body is stiff like achey. Is this due to LDN? Will this go away? If so, what's the normal amount of time one endures this? Could this also be because I have Erlichiosis? I am suspect for Lyme disease. Although, I don't know what to believe anymore. I did just get my period which are normally difficult for me and this month it wasn't. Totally willing to give LDN a try. I am not scared I just want to know whats happening and what to expect. Jodi Crohn's/Colitis
Guest guest
It does seem like the medication brings out infections a bit or makes the body more aware of them. I'm not sure why this happens, but it could be due to the tick borne disease you mentioned. I would definitely follow up with Igenex testing for Lymes. As for feeling flu like, I remember when I first started the medication I felt much more energy the next day! Because I had been so sick for so long, I wanted to take advantage of this energy and wanted to get all of the cleaning and little things done that I had let slide for so long. What I forgot was that my body hadn't had time to really heal, and I did feel very flu like in the evenings. I had to learn to go slow and gradually work up to more activity. Just because we feel great immediately doesn't mean our bodies have had time to repair from the years of damage we've faced with our diseases. I'm not sure if this is what you are experiencing, but it's something I still have to keep in mind a bit. I would consider this as a possibility - if you've done more today because you had more energy than you have over the past several months - even just cleaning a little more than usual - it may have taxed your system a bit. Now I can do much more and am almost how I was before the lupus became active, but if I have activities scheduled every night after work and do home improvement projects all weekend, it takes its toll and I am tired later. The sore joints and pain have gone over time though. Hope this helps, Cami Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
