Guest guest
ldn is just different to the treatment you take.it is modulating the immune system and not suppressing it.you should get of your medecines and start ldn and then see maybe you can be without those terrible medecines.you should also treat candida as this can be the cause of the arthritis and it can block the working of ldn.there is one patient who uses ldn together with remicade with success. if you want to start ldn you better change the doctor. > > From: peg44270 <jelens@...> > Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Remicade/LDN - Sharon (was Re: flu'ish like > cold) > low dose naltrexone > Date: Friday, December 5, 2008, 4:31 PM > > I have a similar situation in which Remicade is not lasting the full 8 > weeks. Guest guest
Dear Ted, Your doc is saying the same thing that most doctors say about any type of auto-immune disease, "don't boost the immune system". Guess what, most of those docs were taught that in medical school, but LDN pretty much proves that theory wrong (for a majority of people that take it). It turns out the once the immune system has what it needs, it remembers how to behave. If you choose to try LDN and it works, then your doctor will most likely say, you either did not have RA in the first place, you are having a placebo effect and it will go away later, or she just will not recognize your doing well on LDN. Of course she might actually open her eyes and say "oh, I guess it does work". Sorry if I sound so negative, but after 4 years of watching the miracle of people taking LDN on this chat site and seeing my husband get his life back (he has MS); and then hearing all of the doctors excuses from people on this chat site, I think I can safely say, I see patterns with the doctors attitudes and their typical responses. My best, Aletha
Guest guest
My neighbor a couple of doors south has rheumatoid arthritis (RA) very badly. Her fingers are all knotted up and she has had multiple joints replaced due to RA. Many years ago she started intravenous (IV) antibiotics. She had a few good years. She had the disease for so long (18 years) before starting the antibiotics that much damage was done. Now she uses a steroid injection into her joints and goes from her wheel chair to a walk around the block. She is still taking her IV antibiotics. The Lyme documentary " Under Our Skin " references RA. Since my Lyme has moved in my joints have been popping, my right elbow does not completely extend, and my right shoulder pains me when I reach to turn on or off the lights. List of Lyme symptoms / with a Lyme quiz: www.CanLyme.com collection of Newscasts on Lyme PLUS a bit on LDN Many thanks to fellow LDNer for getting the posts together into " one click viewing " : http://vimeo.com/2354218 > > From: peg44270 <jelens@...> > Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Remicade/LDN - Sharon (was Re: flu'ish like > cold) > low dose naltrexone > Date: Friday, December 5, 2008, 4:31 PM > > I have a similar situation in which Remicade is not lasting the full 8 > weeks.
