So that's why I felt like I was flying when I was prescribed Talwin for pain. It's one of the drugs on my two page list of drugs I can't take.

A similar product has been on the market for some time (years?):Talwin® NXTo be taken ORALLY ONLY !!Talwin® NX: Naloxone with Pentazocine. Pentazocine is a narcotic analgesic (pain killer). Naloxone and Pentazocine (combined) is used to treat moderate to severe pain. Naloxone is included to prevent the abuse of Pentazocine by injection. IF THIS COMBINED PRODUCT IS INJECTED, the Pentazocine will not have any effect, BUT SEVERE REACTIONS (INCLUDING DEATH) may occur !!!This is the original warning on the product - not that I think any of "us" will ever need this drug.... I hope...
