Hi All

I just got LDN for my wife tonight. She has been taking Essiac tea for

the past few months. Does anybody know if it is ok to take both, or

would it be an advantage to take both. She is a bit worried about

stopping the essiac.

Thanks

Hi Jack can you tell ne a little more about you and your wife i.e. why are you on Essiac. My wife is at stage iv with tumors in both lung's. She is off the Chemo 3 weeks now and after 4 shots of chemo the tumors reduced by 50% so we are on our own now. the next scan is in 6 weeks 5th Feb.. So any info helps.

I lowered my PSA from 7.3 to 4.2 currently and it lowered my wife A1C

from 8.3 to 6.1, this is a dramatic drop for a diabetic.

let me just first say I'm sorry related to what you and your

wife are going through with the cancer. After I issued my first

answers I got to thinking about a dear friends experience with cancer.

I met her in a doctors office while doing chelation therapy for

mercury poisoning. She was taking massove doses of intervenious

vitamin C at the time in the amount of 100 grams IV, that's a lot of

vitamin C. Her story goes something like this. She developed breast

cancer when she was about 37 or so. She went the standard medical

proceedure of surgery and chemo. This went on until she was so sick

she could hardly do anything and the cancer had metastisized to other

areas of her body and especially troublesome was a terrible constant

cough from the tumors in her lungs. She was basically told to get

her business in order go home and die.

She decided to take matters into her own hands went to the Internet

and studied up on alternative cancer treatments. She decided on what

she felt she wanted to do and came to my alternative doctor and

talked him into doing injections of massive doses of Vitamin C.

To make a long story short after a series of IV vitamin C her blood

work indicates there is no cancer. She doesn't cough any mores ETC.

It's truly dramatic. We were often together while taking 3 to 4 hour

IV's so we had plenty of time to discuss things releated to

alternative medicine. I'm 77 and she's like a daughter to me at this

point. She has a wonderful husband who is so patient and two kids 8

and ten years, she's now 40.

She still takes the vitamin C IV's as much at this point as a

preventive as anything.

Jack,

By any chance do you know or can you find out the exact IV Vitamin C protocol that your friend used i.e. how frequently she had the infusions in the beginning, how many infusions did she have until there were objective signs that it was working, and what is her maintenance schedule? And perhaps could you provide the name and contact details for the physician who administered the IV's to her? I have been following the developments of this for the past several years ever since the first study came out of the NIH suggesting this possibility for cancer therapy and I know that there is a clinical study going on at the University of Kansas presently for IV Vitamin C as an adjunct to chemo therapy for ovarian cancer.

Thanks,

Lagin

I'm sorry but I will not tell you the name of the doctor. The State

of Washington victimizes alternative doctors. My Dr. has been

harassed to the point where he's nearly bankrupt from all the

baseless actions takin by the State Medical Quality Assurance Board

that has zero alternative doctors as members of the board. All the

members of the board have been there since God made little green

apples and they don't hesitate to come down on alternative/holistic

Doctors.

I'll try to get the other information you asked for.

Hi again Jack

My wife was told the same thing 4 months ago. She was given 2 months

and told to go home and get her affairs in order. At this stage I had

already done a lot of googling and found Essiac LDN and the Vitim c

story. I cant remember where I read about Vitim C but it was a german

Doctor said 6000mg a day of vitim c would kill cancer cell's. Because

my wife was going through chemo and taking loads of anty sickness

tablets I decided Essiac and 2000mg of vitim c would be a good start

to fight the battle. You can get 1000mg vitim c tablets to make an

orange drink for kids so 2 drinks a day. now that the chemo is over

its 6 tea spoons full of Essiac washed down with 1000mg vitim c orange

drink twice a day and a little LDN tab at bed time.

Thanks

LDN is no longer " Alternative Medicine " . The double blind study out

of italy proves positive that it is safe and effective and STOPS THE

PROGRSSION of PMS. Read the abstract at: www.googleldn.com

Joe,

Jack was not referring to LDN in his answer to me but rather to IV Vitamin C therapy for the treatment of cancer.

"IV Vitamin C" means Vitamin C given to a person intravenously like a blood transfusion. The person sits in a chair and then Vitamin C is given to them over the course of a few hours, several days a week. The current thinking is to build up to about 100 grams of Vitamin C per infusion once you make sure that a person will not have an adverse reaction to the Vitamin C. The theory is that if you are able to keep a certain amount of Vitamin C in a persons body for a long enough period it will be cytotoxic to cancer cells or in other words it will kill the cancer cells. The theory has been around for many years but recently was given new attention because of a study done in 2006/2006 by Mark Levine at the National Institute of Health. There is one clinical trial currently ongoing at the University of Kansas and the doctors there will make the IV Vitamin C protocol they are using available to anyone as long a a doctor makes a request for the information.
