Guntur, Andhra Pradesh: Dead PLHIVs born again for ART medicine.

Dear Group Members,

 

This is to bring your kind attention to the condition of ART Centers of Guntur

District in Andhra Pradesh. You are aware of ART centers are established for

providing ART Medicine to improve quality life of PLHIV. As well as access to

ART treatment for controlling Opportunistic Infections and extension of their

life span.

 

Today I saw a News paper article on one of largest circulated news papaer in

Andhra Pradesh. The news paper article says ART Medicine distributors are miss

using ART Medicine that they are selling ART Medicine to People and showing

records Death PLHIV as alive and still taking ART Medicine. I think this is

 failure of  Monitoring and Evaluation of NACO and APSACS.

 

This month I have visited ART center to take my regular medicine in Guntur ART

Center. First of all I thankful guntur medical department to for providing

separate block to ART center but it is very congested due to over floating of

PLHIV because Guntur district has the major enrollment when compared with rest

of districts. If the rooms were like that rapidly many PLHIV prone to

opportunistic infections.

 

So, I request all group to respond and take a necessary action regarding this.
