Guest guest
I've been on LDN 4.5 for over a year. 3.5 before that. LDN never did much for me except help with the bladder control and reduce spasms. I dreamt but my dreams were not intense. I had several amalgam fillings replaced by an inept dentist. My MS started going down hill as of that date. I was diagnosed with heavy metal poisoning, mainly mercury. I just started chelating through an alternative MD. Not only could I walk without holding on to furniture after my first shot (yeah, it's shuffing and unsteady but I did it) but I started to have INTENSE DREAMS. I wonder how metal toxicity affects LDN? In addition to that I started following Dr. Terry Wahl's diet of increased sulphur (she was in a wheel chair with ppms and two years later she could ride her bike 18 miles - terrywahls.com)which is a natural chealater. She says all MS patents are low in endorphins and it needs to be raised. I started a support group for those following Wahls on and hope all that has finally kicked in my LDN...since my last dream had me unning away with a ovie star, I am not complaining...Lydia
Guest guest
I wonder this myself. I have been on LDN since March of this year. My leg spasticity has kept progressing since that time. I have an excellent diet and have been tested twice for candida - both negative so I'm led to believe that there is something else holding me back. I have an appointment with my doc in March to discuss mercury detoxing. In the meantime I have begun the Klenner Protocol. I'm really positive about this and am hopeful that I will see improvement. Guest guest
I am currently in the process of having my fillings removed, so far it is half done. There is evidence to scientifically support the harm of 'silver' amalgams. A study at the University of Alberta has shown that the amount of mercury in vapor released can harm nerve cells. The FDA has finally acknowledged that amalgams can be harmful to fetuses in pregnant women. Lastly, my neurologist, who has recommended not having my filling removed, has stated that patients with this done have reported fewer relapses. It is recommended to see a biological dentist to have mercury based filling removed; certain measures are taken to limit the exposure to mercury vapor, and debris. This entails, an independent oxygen supply, and vacuum to collect the vapor.Working with a protocol to chelate will this done is a good idea. There are clinics, products like chelex, or natural foods like chlorella which is an good chelator. Also, it is a good idea to check that the composite used for the replacement fillings are BPA (bisphenol A) free. There has been a warning issued by health Canada, and this is a toxic chemical found in many plastics. After having mercury removed, and chelating the immune system is depressed from the presence of metals like lead, and mercury. Having the level of the immune system tested to see if any 'rebuilding' needs to be done has made the difference between seeing an improvement, or little to none. Guest guest
Well done ----it isn't easy taking on the task of amalgam removal. I had the correct amalgam removal 10 years ago----it gave me an immediate lift-------very important to have the blood work done, to determine what goes back into mouth, and ofcourse a biological dentist, NOT one who says "oh sure, I'll do that for you", without the necessary protocal. Luckily ten years later there are oral chelators-----the old IV method was timely and expensive. God Bless, Sara
Guest guest
Dear , Do you have any silver fillings in your mouth? It is important that you have them replaced BEFORE you detox or you will just redistribute mercury and may harm yourself. Good luck in getting your doctor to listen to you. Most won't. Don't give up on te LDN and keep taking it while you detox. I know of others who ave used klenner without addressing the mercury in their mouth and havenot noticed changes. ...Lydia > have an appointment with my doc in March to discuss mercury detoxing. > In the meantime I have begun the Klenner Protocol. Guest guest
Thanks Lydia, I had my amalgams removed over a decade ago however I'm not sure how safely they were removed. I knew nothing about mercury and natural dentistry at the time so I just let my dentist do it. I'm quite lucky with my MD. He practices nutritional therapies as well. He was actually the one who got me tested for mercury in the first place and introduced me to LDN. He has been a Godsend and I don't know what I'd do without him. He has also been the one to write me the scripts for the Klenner protocol. I plan on continuing LDN indefinitely. Thanks again, > > Dear , > > Do you have any silver fillings in your mouth?
