Guest guest
Hi Nikki... I'm taking LDN - since Feb08 -- for Hashi's and vitiligo. My TSH right now is a little too high at 3.25. I'd prefer it to be below '2'. My Free's are a little below mid-range and I would prefer they also be at LEAST mid-range or a little higher. I upped my T4 med and will be testing in 2wks to see if I can get my levels more optimal. I've been cautious about increasing my THR (thyroid replacement hormones)doses because I realize that the longer I take LDN I may need to LOWER my THR. Managing the thyroid with THR to optimal levels is just plain tricky even without LDN...so LDN just adds another layer of complexity. Not sure if this helps you, but I'd like to say that I appreciate that your doctor is appropriately cautious because of your pregnancy. Can you share your lab values for your TSH and Free's...??... I'm wondering how high your TSH is and where your doctor wants it. Best wishes, Jann
Guest guest
Hi Jann Thanks for your response. I am really worried about this. I don't have a copy of my lab values, but the Dr told me my T3 & T4 were in the normal range & my TSH is > 13. Sorry I don't have the full information. I agree it is better to be cautious, but I'm not sure she is right to blame the LDN as I am her first patient using it. The Dr just wants the TSH in the normal range.
