Thanks.

Liver disease in itself isn't the problem for a perm.......but the meds you are taking could be......some meds interfere with the chemicals in a perm and you could either frizz or maybe only half might "take".

Thanks for the clarification, Grace. Pete did not die from peg, or failed tx, he died from neglect and abuse. The VA, as per usual let him die, refused him the treatment and even the proper tests he needed. He had no chance at doing tx, or getting decent medical care.

Pete had only one real chance at recovery.

And you, Grace, and so many others used every opportunity to discredit and reproach his last chance at recovery. You and so many others time and again told Pete how I was a liar, and a cheat and would just scam him out of his money. You gathered around him with sympathy and propaganda and fear & lies about the healing ability of nature.

Pete is ultimately responsible for his choices. But with friends like you, and the others like you on every other forum Pete visited who shouted down his opportunty to receive the info he needed, he didn't have a chance. You and everyone like you is as responsible for Pete's death as the system which neglected him.

The VA may have neglected him to death, but his comrads talked him out of his life.

In honor of Pete and every other vet robbed of life by the gov they served I will not participate in the SHAM March on DC so heppers can feel proactive, when all they are doing is conceeding death to the Pharms and establishment which infected them in the first place.

No thanks. I will devote all my time and energy into actually saving the lives of people willing to take responsibility for themselves, who refuse to listen to fear mongering propagandists & defy the medical industry and recover without drugs and the pharm bs.

Peace, Jeanine

And just what is it that you are doing? By continually posting the info about interferon and ribaviron you are also just as guilty of "fear mongering" as you call it. If a person chooses medical tx as opposed to natural, they are given the information about the drugs they take. We at least KNOW what possible side effects there are when we get our drugs from a pharmacy. With some herbal tx we have no way of knowing the possible side effects or what other drugs or herbs they may interact with. I am not against natural means of healing, I choose for myself to combine tx. Medical, herbal (well researched, of course) and mental. I personally believe that is the best way to go for ME.

I do agree the march is a scam to promote pharmaceutical treatments. If they can promote more awareness of hep c, more will get tested and march off, on their doctor's orders, to get the pharms's tx......pretty easy to see that, isn't it??

Natural medicines/herbs work slowly and gently, and when taken correctly do not usually cause undesirable side effects......this is not the case with western tx----the inserts reveal, quite truthfully, that it is literally an aggressively acting poison......Of course one has the right to choose what one puts into his/her own body....Satya

For any new folks to the board out there or for those folks that just plain don't know...Pete Gilbertson did not die while on or because of Peg/Riba treatment. He died because the VA neglected his treatment over and over again. He got one chance at treatment - well into the late stages of cirrhosis and was not on it very long as he was already far to sick to tolerate it. He was huge proponent of standard treatment and one for not waiting if given the opportunity to voice his opinion.Jeanine - to you or anyone else that wants to do something in Pete's memory that will honor him. March on DC on the 23rd for HCV awareness in the name of all the vets that were infected with HCV during Vietnam. Or on Veterans Day - make it special for vets, hug a vet, shake a vets hand or give them a smile let them know you care. Or better yet - support our troops that are over in the war right now, even if you don't agree with the government that sent them there.

How dare you try and blame Grace for Yoopers death. You are not only dangerous London, but in need of some serious phsycological help. I get continual laughs from all of your insane posts, but you go too far in trying to blame Grace. She is one of the smartest and most logical people still around.(Grace, Not you Jean)

Yvette, also glad to meet you. Hope tx goes well for you . I have been clear for 3 years(yes, I did the Pegasys with Riba). I have no bad after tx results(Sorry to disappoint you Jeannine). My prayers are with you........all of you fighting the Dragon.

Camille,

I had anterior and posterior on the same day with Dr. Hey. I had surgery on Thursday and went home the following Monday. I truly believe that he will not send you home until you are ready. You will definitely have to be able to walk with the walker, go up and down stairs, and show you can get in and out of the car safely before they let you go home.

You will definitely need someone with you for the first 2-3 weeks. Is your father able to help you? You will receive, from the hospital, a walker, a toilet chair, a grabber, a sock helper, and a long-handled sponge for use in the shower if you need these things.

Hello again and thanx for the feedback. I feel like I need to apologize for my impulsive and intense post the other day. I had just hung up the phone with the doc after finalizing plan B. I was in fear mode, a bit freaked out.Dr. Hey did not say that this surgery was "no big deal". That was my interpretation of his comment about possibly only spending 2 nights in the hospital. So, here's where my mind took me, "OMG, you're gonna have to go home before you're ready, and then, and then, blah blah blah." The mind is such a wonderful thing!!So, my fear was not really about the surgery itself, but having to go home before I was ready. It's hard to imagine such a short stay after being in 3 wks. after previous surgery, ya know.Well, guess what Camille, times have changed!! And I'm sure it's also related to the fact that I live with my elderly father, who has CDD (Compassion Deficit Disorder)!!!!!!!! I'm sure no one can relate!! I do have help lined up if I need it. My brother and sis-in-law live next door....and my beautiful 4 yr.old neice named Isabella.Know who I'm gonna miss the most while I'm gone? my dogs! I don't have human children, I have the 4 legged furry kind. Oh how I love my babies. They are my saving Grace.I've been re-arranging my bedroom (which is where I live) getting ready for my new post-op body. Feels kinda weird, a little exciting and a little fear of the unknown. Thanks to you all. I'm sure I'll have more questions as time gets closer.camilleOh and it will still be a posterior approach only (primarily b/c of all the hardware that's already in place anteriorally (is that a word?!).

Camille,

Please don't feel you need to apologize for being a little strung out

after a major change in your surgical plan. I can understand how you

would have felt completely off center and if I heard " discharge in 2

days " I think I would have been in panic mode. Really...it goes with

the territory. We are all glad you are feeling better about what is

to come.

Its good that you are focusing on getting your bedroom squared away.

I think it was Sharon(?) who called it making a post - op nest! Clear

the table next to where you will be sitting and sleeping. Make sure

you buy a big packet of bendy straw for drinking in bed. You will no

doubt want easy access to a telephone and TV. And I highly recommend

you rearrange the bathroom so your TP, and all that kind of stuff is

not in the low cabinets. Two months down the road you don't want to

suddenly find yourself in a " predicament " ! Same thing in your

kitchens...get the stuff you use a lot where you will be able to

reach it without bending or leaning.

The one thing that I wish I had realized before surgery that I would

have found/bought...was a chair. You will want the kind of chair that

you see in doctors offices....flat bottomed, with arms and just a

little bit of padding. To this day it is my favorite kind of

chair...very upright. So if you decide to buy one think about having

it around for awhile!

I know how much you will miss your poochies. Just focus on how much

fun it will be to take them for their walk say around the 4th of July!

Take Care, Cam

Hi Camille,

Oh, I just love that term "CDD", "compassion deficit disorder". My mother had it big time. When I had my Harrington Rod surgery in 1977 (at age 36), my mother couldn't bear to see me in the hospital, so never visited in all the 3 weeks I was there. She did visit me at home afterwards, when I was in a full body plaster cast. She took one look at me, said she couldn't stand to see me in that "thing" and left, and stayed away the entire 9 months I was in the cast. Sorry you have to deal with a father who has CDD, but you've found in me at least one person who can relate.

Sorry all..

I am just so new to this.

Do I need to be on Pred 10mg for 1 month at least before starting the

LDN? Like if I was on 15mg 2 weeks ago and for about 2 weeks I have

been on 10mg is it safe for me to start the LDN?

My doctor at the Hoffman Center was unaware LDN can be started with

10mg Prednisone. I fwd'd her the info pertaining to the study.

I am very sensitive and many things make me very sick so I need to be

extra careful. I really want this to work for me especially after

years of Remicade finally having an allergic reaction to the Remicade

which rendered it totally ineffective for me.

Ho Jodi,

A year ago, when I started to use this forum, the advice to all that asked about prednisone in combination with LDN was: never combine those.

Now, half a year ago, we learnt that if you use from 10 mg or less, it's ok in combination with LDN. The reason is: Prednisone lower than 10 mg does not suppress the immune system as it does when more than 10 mg per day.

Prednisone is an immune suppressor, LDN is boosting the immune system. If you take more than 10 mg each day, LDN will not be able to do the work.

Dr. Skip from Skips Pharmacy is the right person to ask about this. Send him an email or call him, I am sure he will give you the advice you need. Good luck, Jodi! :-)

Friendly regards,

Ingrid

You got it.. There are portables though that will be ok to purchase. several

companies make chambers that are ok. Diane just chooses to do this illegal.....

but you have it down pretty pat..

Well... in my opinion the CAREGIVER, not the patient needs to WISE up... then

they wouldn't be using Diane's modify kits, maybe the chamber but not the

kit.. personally if the provider caregiver whoever is administering the

treatment has done research and is very careful following protocols I see no

problem in a doctor writing an Rx for oxygen. I can see your point in having a

doctor write out Rx to someone who is IGNORANT... it takes two to tango...

Not only does Dianne/Healing Dives practice medicine without a license, they

have a slew of doctors on the take that will write a prescription to anyone that

calls. All the doctor asks for is the name, date of birth and indication. So the

patient gets a rubber stamp prescription for hyperbarics and then has to rely on

a real estate broker's protocols.

Watch the below video of one of her rubber stamp doctors at work. It is quite

sickening:
