We're looking for the most extraordinary True North Story in America.

We even have an independent researcher scouring the country to help us

locate inspiring True North stories. Could your story be the one? Now

don't worry, extraordinary doesn't necessarily mean huge. You don't

have to save the world on a daily basis to win. In fact, your True

North might only involve a few people. You do, however, have to be

passionate, dedicated and excited to share your passion with the

world. If you're all those wonderful things, or know someone who is,

submit a story online. To really bring your story to life, upload

photos, music, movies, and writings.

WHAT IS A TRUE NORTH STORY?

A true north is that singular passion in life that causes you to

leap out of bed in the morning and think, " This is why I'm here. " It

can be something that leaves a legacy, empowers others, or simply

makes the world a more interesting place to live. It could involve a

handful of people or connect entire communities across the globe.

While every true north is unique, we believe that each one has the

power to inspire millions more.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Legal residents of any of the 50 United States or the District

of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older as of October 20th, 2008.

WHERE DO I GO TO ENTER THE CONTEST?

Go to www.truenorthsnacks.com/story and click on the " Share a

True North Story " button on the main page during the contest period of

12:01:00 am Central Time ( " CT " ) on 10/20/08 and 11:59:59 pm CT on

12/31/08 and follow the directions for submitting an entry.

WHAT DO I NEED TO SUBMIT?

A written story of 300 words or less about either your life's

passion or the life's passion of a friend or family member must be

submitted in order to qualify for the contest.

WHAT TYPE OF FILES CAN I SUBMIT?

In addition to submitting your written story, you may, but are

not required to, upload up to 5 files of additional media (music,

video, or pictures). The additional media cannot exceed 20MB per file.

Acceptable file formats include: .MOV; .MPG; .MP3; .AVI; .DOC; .TXT;

..PDF; .JPG; .PNG; .GIF; .AIFF; .WAV

WHAT IS THE PRIZE?

The most inspiring true north story, as judged by the TrueNorth™

brand, will be used to create a 60-second commercial, shot by a

celebrity director and scheduled to debut during the 2009 Academy

Awards®. In addition to having his or her true north story turned into

a commercial, the winner will also receive $25,000 to help in the

pursuit of his/her passion.

WHEN CAN I SUBMIT? WHAT IS THE DEADLINE?

You may enter a submission in the contest between 12:01:00 am

Central Time ( " CT " ) on 10/20/08 and 11:59:59 pm CT on 12/31/08.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHO WON?

The winning story will be featured in a 60-second commercial

that we plan to air during the 2009 Academy Awards®. Additionally, the

winner will be revealed on the TrueNorth™ website

(http://www.truenorthsnacks.com/story) on February 23rd, 2009. For the

name of the winner, send a request with a self-addressed, stamped

envelope (VT residents may omit return postage) postmarked for receipt

by January 30, 2009 to: TrueNorth™ Contest-Winner's List, P.O. Box

753646, El Paso, TX 88575-3646.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I CAN ENTER THE CONTEST?

All qualifications are spelled out in our Official Rules.

HOW MANY STORIES CAN I SUBMIT?

Each individual entrant is allowed a total of five submissions,

per email address, as long as the same (or substantially similar)

submission is not uploaded more than one time throughout the entry period.

11.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I WIN?

If your passion is selected by TrueNorth™ as the most inspiring,

we will use your story to create a 60-second commercial which we plan

to debut during the 2009 Academy Awards®. In addition to seeing your

true north story turned into a commercial directed by a celebrity, you

will also receive $25,000, in the form of a check, to help in the

pursuit of your true north.

WHY IS THERE A RESEARCHER?

We want great stories but we know sometimes people don't realize

how fabulous their own stories are. That's where our researcher comes

in. Our independent researcher will actively search for stories of

people pursuing their life's passions, and will encourage and motivate

people with extraordinary True North stories to enter.
