Was she a smoker, or is this another Paxil-induced case of cancer???? People on these drugs are very unresponsive, not to mention a host of other things that are not conducive to maintaining health relationships. Guest guest
Non smoker for over 20 years i'd say....maybe 25. I've read Paxil increases one's risk of breast cancer so I wouldn't rule it out in her lung cancer. > In a message dated 10/26/04 6:31:30 PM Mountain Daylight Time, > SSRI medications writes: > > > > I found this site too late for my mother too. Guest guest
As am I, Dr. Lance. It was breast cancer, was it not. Pharma makes the insecticides and SSRIès that predispose us to cancer, then try to cover up with pretty pink ribbons and M & Mès See here: There are many women out there who don't yet have breast cancer. Lets do all we can to change this. ----- New Pink & White M & M's The maker of M & M candies, using leftover Monsanto chemicals that couldn't get FDA/ EPA approval, has teamed up with the Stupid G. Komen BreastCancer Foundation to raise the number of women with breast cancer through the consumption of their new " pink & white " M & M candies. For each 8-ounce bag of the special candies sold, the makers of M & M(Masterfoods) will donate 50 pounds of toxic chemicals to the foundation, who will flog them as safe food and consumer product additives that have no connection to the rising rate of breast cancer. The next time you want a treat, please pick up a bag (now sold in stores nationwide) - you will be donating to a great tragedy, maintaining the status quo regarding environmental contributions to cancer, and satisfying your sweet tooth. Please pass on to all your family and friends. -- Thank you. Mac ----------- Mars, Incorporated, through its Masterfoods division and M & Ms brand pledged to donate $650,000 to the G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation late in 2003. To help raise awareness of the cause, Mars tied its donation to a special promotion of its M & M's Brand. The 50-cents-per-bag formulated was based on the company's goal of selling 1.3 million bags of the special pink and white candies ($650,000 divided by 1.3 million = $.50). The campaign ended when the donation cap was reached in December 2003, though some packages of the candy remain in stores more than six months later. M & M's will repeat the campaign, beginning in September, 2004, and will donate 50 cents for each package sold to the Komen Foundation. Tentatively, they have scheduled it to run through November, but have again capped their donation at $650,000. This promotion was originally for September and October of 2003, according to the folks who make M & M's, but was revived during September, October, and November of 2004. Guest guest
Oh, my dear!!! No need to apologize at all for telling it like it was! That's what we're here for. Who else would understand?! I had a few such surprises myself, and have been very undecided which one was biggest. Sharon [ ] so sorry I need to aplogize for my gloom and doom post yesterday. I need to learn to keep quiet when the blahs have me in their grip. When I reread what I had written, I was so ashamed. I did have some nice surprises after surgery too...I was verysurprised at how wonderful I felt the few days before my secondstage. I really felt great, mentally and physically. Another iswhen I was feeling good at that time, Bob and one of my nurses made sure I comfy sitting on the side of my bed, and the nurseclimbed up on the bed, on her knees and brushed and rebraided myhair for me. It felt fantastic! One last was when I was put in a2 bed room after the surg. for infect., Dr. Hu had me transferredto a private room so Bob could be with me knowing it would makeme feel better. A very pleasant surprise.I also want to tell all that are doing so well now after yoursurgeries, I am very very happy for you. Its so nice to read thatyou have gotten through the surgery/ies and are home and feelinggood. My prayers for all of you will continue for your continuedrecovery. Guest guest
, Oh my goodness - please don't apologize for your post! Not only this a great & caring place for you to talk about things that are bothering you, you may also be helping someone else who is too timid to speak up about similar feelings/situations. And if you can't speak up here about these things, with people who have been through these surgeries and can really relate to your feelings, then where else can you go? Please don't feel bad about posting anything here. I was insane with anxiety before my surgeries last month and posted and posted the same stuff again about being scared and the " what ifs " and such. I was so glad to have a place to unload those fears, and so glad that people spoke up to comfort and support me. Nobody ever made me feel bad about it. We all take turns needing support from this group, just as we all take turns contributing information and compassion. So just hang in there, and know that this is a safe place for your to unload all of your blahs when needed > > I need to aplogize for my gloom and doom post yesterday.
