Guest guest
Dear Forum members, Re: /message/10687 This is completely a case of breach of confidentiality. Further more, the case gives a picture of grosss violation of Human Rights and Child Rights. The child will definitely be stigmatised for such a cruel and illegal step of the headmaster. The child can't get back his lost rights. But an examplinary action should be taken against the headmaster for being the prime actor of the violation of rights of the child. Again, Government should take suitable step to mainstream HIV education in all their departments. Guest guest
Dear FORUM, Re: /message/10687 Francis raised very important issues. Lot of incidents happened in our country where HIV positive kids were discriminated in school settings. While there is effort made to provide care and support, specially treatment, there is no concrete effort made to sensitize the constituency which is involved in providing care and support. I recollect some time back, Nagpur Municipal Corporation started a separate school for HIV positive kids (http://education.in.msn.com/schoolcolleges/article.aspx?cp-documentid=1160869) While some NGOs here in Nagpur had opposed the move, there was nothing done on the part of MSACS. Fortunately, the so called 'bold initiative' from Nagpur Municipal Corporation never materialized. It's high time that issues related to children are addressed. These types of incidents happen every where and NGOs should bring this to the notice of respective agencies. F.
