Guest guest
Dear Forum Members, I would like draw your attention to the recently published article on HIV+ kid thrown out of government school. NACO is running wonderful programs through State AIDS Control Societies to control HIV epidemics but is not sufficient and compromises with quality. Huge fundings are spent by Central and State Government on HIV and AIDS Awareness programs. What is the success of this prevention programs? Recently Government primary school headmaster had struck off name of a nine year old HIV positive orphan, Raju (name changed) along with his two siblings because of his HIV status. 1. What made headmaster to strike off name of Raju from the roster? 2. Why Raju thrown out from school? 3. How the villagers came to know Rajus' HIV positive status? 4. Is the headmaster or villagers in Bellamundi responsible for throwing out Raju from school? Prevention and Care program should go hand in hand. The existing care program for more than 2.5 millions people with HIV/AIDS is very weak and need to strengthen for example ART Clinic, Community Care Centers, blood banks, etc. Thank you for your attention Francis De Melo President Love Life E-MAIL: <lovelifesociety@...>
