I may be wrong but I think Bob meant the bum that was responding to Joe.

[low dose naltrexone] Re: Janet asked a fair question, where have I been all this time?

Gotta say Bob I support Joe 100%. LDN needs a person like this. Good writer, passionate, enthusiastic, intelligent, willing to mix it up with the establishment. I'll bet most here feel the same, especially those who have been members of other health/ LDN groups and been bashed and ridiculed after posting their experience and success with LDN. Try calling the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for example and ask them about LDN. If you were ill with a serious disease like MS their answer would make you want to vomit and worse. If the medical community and pharmaceutical companies truly wanted to help and cure sick people why aren't they investigating LDN?!! The answer is they can't make money! We're supposed to take their useless poisonious medicine, wind up in wheelchairs and drop dead. Do you know how this makes me and all the others who are ill feel? A bit frigging angry! And because we are just the little people out here we are we are helpless. A guy like Joe comes across as a hero to me. Finally an LDN advocate that uses words like brass knuckles to the mind and heart. The laid back approach doesn't work anymore. I hope it never happens to you but should get seriously ill you'll then understand why I feel the way I do. Art-->> That Joe guy certainly is an angry SOB. I have seen a lot of that kind of stuff on the "Disaboom" site, some very pointed and not so veiled threats and general obnoxiousness. You have to wonder what they get out of it. I can't imagine it is anything from big pharma, that sort of talk does more to turn people off and does not further their purpose, unless it is a private message directed at you personally...then it becomes a real problem. The internet is a great place for the cowards like that guy to mouth off without fear of recrimination. Divergence of opinion and discourse are one thing, personal attacks are a whole new level of immaturity.> Bob C.>

Art - I was speaking about the "Joe" that sent threatening e-mails to Joe Wouk !!! Sorry for the confusion. See the nasty stuff Wouk was sent on one of his posts, it was really out of line, wishing him dead and such..

Joe Wouk is a hero to me also, I already ordered 3 books for initial distribution, and will be ordering more. While I do not have a serious disease like MS, I did live with an MS victim (now happily on LDN) who wasted years on the CRABs and Tysabri to no avail, so I am definitely sensitive to the issues here and only want to help spread the word. I myself have a muscle enzyme disease, and the "specialists" have no good answers. so I take LDN prophylactically, and have found that if I take it at a certain time in the evening I have boundless energy and improved cognition the next day. If I forget to take it, or take it too late, I am back to fatigue and brain fogginess. I talk wth doctors all day and when appropriate, try to spread the word.

Interestingly, even the more honest GIs I try to convince are extremely reluctant to investigate LDN. I am having better luck with general surgeons and family practice guys giving time to listen.

As far as your posts are concerned, I find your information to be exrtremely informative and helpful on this site and have applauded your efforts as well as others here.

I hope you do not get the wrong impression I was slamming Wouk, he is doing the right thing here and thankfully has time to pen his experiences.

Best regards,

Bob C

Yup. That is right. That "other Joe" was WAY out of line. But I will point out that Art, even while thinking I was wrong, sent a very classy and appropriate e-mail response without personal attacks or nastiness. He just pointed out where he thought I was wrong without prejudice. Shows that most on this list have only the best intentions. This courteous and professional approach is the stuff that will gain attention rather than the hysterical finger pointing approach

I say maybe also, but I hate to point fingers without a visible smoking gun.

But agreed.....I do have to question WHY the hostility toward Wouk and LDN. There had to be some sort of agenda. Who would want to be so nasty and for what reason??? Being a skeptic I probably should try to read between the lines more.....

Well you may or may not be right. I didn't scroll all the way down the post to read the obscene replies made to Joe Wouk. Real nice and mature. Either way I still stand by what I said. Joe, I guess I wasn't paying attention that there were two Joes....and only though about it later that there may have been some confusion!

Can't wait for the books to arrive!

Rob, I thought you were attacking me... It sure seemed that way. Thatis exactly the kind of treatment I got on Patients like me just formentioning that LDN had saved me.You have to make yourself a little clearer, Rob. But I'm glad you'renot the shill I thought you were and I'll ask admin not to boot you.Joe> >> > That Joe guy certainly is an angry SOB.
